Now i'm having the same issues it seem's like my map files are corrupt. I've gone into test mode but it wont let me delete the maps so that I could replace them with my back up. does anyone have any ideas beside taking it out of the dash and re-formatting the hard drive any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude u dont have to take it out of the dash - just reinstall the OS - in WinCE - Start > Settings > control panel > storage > format partition and then copy new files (when u format u are blowing it all away including POI's maps etc and the entire OS so reload it w/ 4.01. and ur done

Is there any way around the error codes I keep getting while trying to load this. It will say cannot copy a certain file and give me a code 50. It has got all the way up to just a few minutes to completion and than errors out and than its done. I have tried this several tmes. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Try deleting the map data already on there and clearing trash then doing it.

hi, "stuck on system startup in process screen"

my f900 messed up on me last night basically i was trying to update the firmware, which i downloaded and it updated correctly after the update reboot the screen stayed on 'system startup in process please wait', only think i can do is go to AV, i cant change my setting or go into maps either, after a short time the system reboots itself, i have tried resetting via the reset button, eject but still no luck. i may have downloaded a wrong firmware or something im not sure what went wrong, version before the update was 1.900000, map version 01.000800 but after the update i dont know what it is as i can't get into settings.

please help me i would really appreciate it, thanks

Please help me! My f700bt is in the restart loop. I have follow page 1 instruction and when I am overriding all the file, in the middle it gives me a error. "error copying file or folder" and the file name is "Northamerican_low.dem". My f700bt is a canada model, I don't know if that makes a different or do I need a different file? Please help and thank you.

Try deletin all the files inside "myflashdisk" that is already on the avic then copy paste in ones from SD card.

Then do the MBR fix. Much longer but solves virtually every problem. Print directions and follow them exactly.

My F700BT came installed when I bought my truck so I didn't know much about it. It worked great for 2 years and then a couple days ago it started to boot loop. I am pretty tech savvy when it comes to software so I started searching and found this forum. I am not even sure what firmware my unit had, but probably just whatever it came with from the factory. At first I tried Tail24's instructions and I kept getting file copy errors. Then I followed enkrypt3d's guide to upgrade to 4.01. It worked great, fixed my boot loops and upgraded teh firmware. All in, it probably took me one hour to fix. I thought I was going to have to purchase a new head unit. Thanks for the help Tail24 & Encrypt3d

My F700bt starts up with the boot screen for about 10secounds then the screen goes black. The buttons are purple and I don't change them to the color. The menu button does not work and when I press map it goes to the warning screen and says " system startup please wait". But it never goes away. Can someone put me in the right direction of what to do?

The link on the 1st page is broken. How would I find that information.

Posted Oct 25, 2012 · 11:27 UTC#74

Someone above me removed the link.

Go to www . Thepiratebay . Se and search "avic f files". The title because I was sloppy and miss spelled and is "avic f update anc fix files"
