What platform is MRZ 05 using? I am confused! I need maps for Cyprus and I dont know how to do it... Please help!

Thanks for your gr8 work. I wonder whether it's possible to get setup or Install instruction in text/doc format so everyone can follow that. Btw, do i need to follow your previous step to get in setup mode or simply plugging USB is ok to run setup ?

If you have a mrz99, all you have to do is extract the zip from post #52 to a usb drive and plug it in.

No other instructions are necessary.

If you have a different model,  it's probably best to make a backup first.

Since we have dedicated this post to MRZ, is there a way to mirror my android phone on my MRZ 05 screen?

I have installed IGO on the android but the screen is too small and not safe to watch. I do pass the instructions to the HU with AUX but I would be grateful if I can have my phone screen on my HU

hello, i tried this on my mrz77.  it changes the background picture but it does not change the language

attached is my language file

I put the wrong installer script in that zip, here's one that should work:

thanks the japanese strings changed to english but another problem is created.  when you are in the navigation screen and press the menu hardware key to go to settings, the screen is distorted.... please see attached image

i had a backup of my mrz77 and i changed image.img.

now i am back to stock images but at least they are not distorted. some japanese characters still show up on the images.  maybe dzo can help with this?

If you post a link to your backup Image.img, I'll take a look at it and see what the problem is.

I don't have time to make custom backgrounds for people but you can always compile the code yourself and add you own.

The new bitmaps are here:

https://github.com/dzo/mrz99/tree/master/updated

They need to be 16 bit old style windows bmps, Gimp can make these but it produces an incompatible bmp header so you need to run fixbmpheader on them.

Easiest way to compile and run the code is on a Linux box.

That should be the only screen which is wrong, mrz77 has a few extra strings.
