Thanks to all Contributors I installed the updates along with the latest BT update.

The issue I have with Bluetooth 3.32 is the same as previous version.  The HU does not connect to Bluetooth Media (Music) on Android phone automatically.  I have to manually reconnect it every time I turn the car on.  

Has anyone with an Android phone (Samsung) been able to find a solution to this?

Thanks for the quick response.  I copied the previous from the other thread.  Sorry bout that.  I originally had neglected to update the bluetooth firmware after the map update, so I took care of that.  I believe it said 3.24 and was updating to 3.3X if I remember correctly. As instructed, after 10-15 mins. I reconnected the battery.  Now the majority of the icons on the left side while in AV Source are missing including Pandora, Aha, etc.  Prior to power disconnect, they were visable.  Bluetooth still refuses to connect.  Should I try reinstalling the map update?  If so, would the shortfuse hack need to be redone, or can I just insert the Map update SD and call it a day?  Thanks again for any help boss!

Update:  Tried a factory reset.  Only difference I noticed was the annoying button beep. LOL  I ran a fresh shortfuse hack, and attempted to redo the update to no avail.  Put Testmodekey on an SD card and went into directory for user, but the PRG.FLG file wasn't there.  I watched the YouTube video and saw it clear as day on his screen, but mine was missing.  Any other ideas?

At this point, I'd be willing to deal with 2010 Maps if I could get the system back to original before the 2012 & 2017 updates.  Or maybe just find a way to reinstall the 2012.

OK, I didn't realize you'd installed the 2012 update.  That's why no PRG.FLG file. The unit has two sets of files under USER. PRG0 and PRG1. Initially they are identical copies and PRG0 is the "active" one. Each successive map/app update alternates between the two directories. So 2012 overwrote PRG1. And 2017 overwrote PRG0. The way the boot loader knows which one is "active" is by the absence (PRG0) or presence (PRG1) of PRG.FLG. 

Initially PRG.FLG didn't exist, so PRG0 was "active". When you installed 2012, PRG1 became "active" and the installationer created PRG.FLG. Then you installed 2017, which overwrote PRG0 and deleted PRG.FLG.

PRG.FLG is just an empty file. So you might try making a file on your computer and copying it to /USER. It is worth a try, and if it doesn't help, it can easily be undone.

Thanks again for the quick response, and detailed explanation RonS!  As I'm leaving tomorrow morning for my road trip, I'll have to give your suggestion a try when I return.  I did find a way to bluetooth my audio from my phone to my receiver.  As long as I have audio playing on my phone when it connects to the receiver, it pairs properly for both handsfree and audio.  Otherwise, only the handsfree seems to work.  Pandora, Aha, etc. are still mysteriously missing, but I can live with that for now.  When I return on Tuesday, I'll give your suggestion a go and let you know how it works out.  Cheers!

Has any one had issues downloading the maps off Google Drives?  I can't get passed the page that says the file is too large to scan.  I click on download anyway and it just keeps going on a continuous loop.  No issues downloading anything else off of this site.

Works fine for me. Windows 10. When I click "Download Anyway" it starts D/Ling to my Downloads folder and displays the progress in the bottom left of my screen. The whole thing takes < 5 min on my 100Mb connection. Done by the time I write this message.

I honestly don't know what is needed for Lightning support. I'd suggest following Pioneer's upgrade instructions - upgrading a Z130 from the original firmware to 7.0. Don't forget to update BT drivers.

On a AVIC - X930BT

I am in a similar boat. 

Ran shortfuse and installed 2017 USA Maps without a glitch. Just make sure you follow the directions.

Went to BlueTooth settings and updated to 3.32 from 3.22 without a hiccup.

1. AS Gooby389 inquired please point us in the direction of the STICKY for removing the NAG screen. I have Pioneer_T1000-25818 loaded on a card ready to go would I use a file in this repository to remove it ?

2. Also for BlueTooth how to from 3.32 to 4.6 to 6.0 and is it worth it to upgrade the version ?

3. Screen mirroring VIDEO from Iphone 6( running iOs11.2.2) to AVIC display does anyone know of a How To  ?

I'm trying this now and getting the infamous "Incorrect SD card" error at the end of installation --

 

* z130BT, starting with v6 (2015 maps?)

* I ran the Shortfuse script, worked like a charm ... thanks!

* Downloaded, unzipped and loaded the 2017 files onto an SD card.  Overwrote Navi.exe with the Nag-free version.  Popped it in, used the special password, and it went through the installation all the way up to "98% - 3 minutes left" and then said "Incorrect SD card installed ... please install the correct one.".

 

I searched the forums and found some suggestions related to card size and format:

 

I don't have a 4GB card on me, but I do have an 8GB SDHC card, I formatted it on our Windows machine FAT32 with default allocation size.   I also unzipped the distribution file under Windows as was recommended.  Still no luck.

 

Do I really need to find a 4GB SDHC card to load this distribution on?  Or is there something else I am not trying?

 

I will gladly contribute to the pool once I can get this install completed successfully.

plugin my micro sd.. nothing happen...

im able to upgrade my bluetooth firmware no problem though

Two most likely guesses:

1. You don't actually have a X930bt. What does it say on the face?  Loading 2015 maps doesn't change that model number.

2. Something is wrong with your SD. What files/folders are in root? What size is the SD? Is it FAT32?

it is an actual X930bt  says on the right upper part of the head unit.....

I will try different sd card... i'm using a 32GB generic card..

used it before to update to 2015 about a year ago.... and used to erased password from you helpful links too and it works..

also used it to run the script for ShortFuseScript.

hey Rons and everyone everything i believe its the cheappo sd is the problem... its probably due to my cheap sdcard that i been using... thank you rons

just to a side note

I was having issue with bluetooth  that's the main reason I updated... when i was on map2015 update it worked for the first few months and then all of a sudden it stopped streaming music over bluetooth. My first assumption was its because I updated my phone... few phone update later still having the same problem.... I'm using samsung s7 with my x930bt..  fast forward last two nights i was bored and looking for a resulotion. for 2 nights I been looking for an older version of bluetooth firmware. older than 3.24.. since i couldn't find one. i was like hey try updating again since i came accross this update... i tried it last night using map2017's bluetooth. since thats the only thing i can do using a crappy sd...... that didn't... so finally this morning i was able to update the main software and map.....tried  updating the bluetooth again with the same result i cannot stream music over bluetooth... then agian.... i was hey one more bluetooth update.. it should hurt... finally it work... so i guess you just have to keep updating bluetooth untill it works.. maybe the update is not sticking for one time try.... I'm i might be just crazy anyways.. now i left a copy of bluetooth update on my sd just incase i have the same problem again later on.....

another qick question ... seems like the x920 x930 x40  has more update or hacking  thank x950... is it worth buying a x950 second hand??

Hi All,

Z130BT stock system FW3.00.  Did the RonS hack with no issues. Started loading 2017 firmware and maps. Everything went well until 12 min to completion.  read errors - Retry, Retry, Retry, nothing.  Installation aborted. Okay, what to do next.  When the system boots its looking for the SD card.  I  reformatted the SD card and reloaded the program.  Now the system does not like the SD card.   Any suggestions?

1. On the Z140BH, I previously updated it to the 2015 release using notes in the other threads. But I don't recall having to use any shortfuse hack, although maybe I used test mode.  I think all I did was mod the CARDINFO file and insert the new SD contents and it upgraded.  Why is there a different approach to upgrading with the 2017 this time to bypass the password lock, which I don't recall doing at all on the 2015 update.  (I'm asking this because I used to make hybrid map DVD hacks for the AVIC-90DVD and AVIC-D3 units and I want to be educated)

2. Has the forum software been updated? I see references all the time to "see post #23" or something like that, but the post #'s no longer show up on the top right of posts, instead there is a report or share link but no post number link.

No rocks, but:

#1 Whoever figured out that old hack (pionera???) doesn't seem to be around anymore. So the shortfuse hack worked and will probably always work for these old units. On that other hardware, you are on your own.

#2 Yes. Jason rehosted and converted to a newer BB software. I guess some things didn't (or couldn't) get ported. It does seem to have severly cut down on spammers, but that's the only thing I like about it. But nobody asked me.

Update was disgustingly easy. Thank you!

Now on to Honda, Subaru, KIA updates... joy.
