  1. Yeah...that sounds like a great idea...just start grounding pins on a $2000 head unit
  2. If your not concerened with touch screen control, I say go for it...
  3. If I were a betin' man I would say the same as the late model Z1's
  4. You dont have to buy the wheels speed sensors, they are already there (assuming you have ABS).....
  5. Um I dont think you understand what Im talking about...it most deffinatly could work, would just be two separate antennas in one housing with two leads....
  6. Anybody make a combo antenna for XM and GPS (would have to have to leads obviously) that will work with the Z1 and the GEX-P10XMT? Would make for a much cleaner install only having one antenna....
  7. Apparently the engineers at Pioneer thought it would be fine....considering it is designed that way.
  8. A ground strap is just a wire basically...usually use braided cable...I have used a peice of RG-8 Coax and stripped off the outer plastic sheath and pulled the center conductor/dialectric out of it then just used the braided sheild with some lugs soldered on the end of it....
  9. Roger that...I realized what PKP was about 30secs after I posted lol
  10. It would take more than wiring..it would take some type of circuit....
  11. Has anybody installed one...looking for ideas on what camera and where people have put it...considering picking one up...
  12. How about 05 mustang gt reverse wire..would rather not have to go all the way to the trunk if I dont have to...
  13. Becuase when I signed up I had a 2003 Crown Vic with the Handling and Performance Package 03Vic-HPP....Guess it should be 05Stang-GT now
  14. ummm..because the z1 knows where it is at on a map and should be able to know what time zone that is.....
  15. No problem...not even sure what the heck it was lol...some cheap CD that somebody listened to in my car...all it says is the date that it was recorded onto the HDD....no album tittle or track tittle lol
  16. I just went out and deleted two tracks....no problems...I didn't acutally start the car...just had it in ACC, but the E-brake lead is just hanging out of the harness and not hooked up to anything...
  17. If you are using Roxio, you have to set it to ISO mode not the one it defaults to
  18. I have the same iPod, and also leave it in the car all the time, but have had no problems...as far as the adaptor goes...about as simple as you can get for installing it...the yellow wire goes to the yellow wire on the Z1 harness and the black goes to ground (I have it going to the black wire on the Z1 harness....
  19. Unless they changed it from the 05 (Mine) to 07 (His) (Entirely Possible I suppose) he doesn't need any adaptor.
  20. You shouldn't need any adaptor for the antenna.....Ford uses the standard antenna plug....
  21. Dont have a D3, but I do have a GT (2005). VSS changed from a pulsed voltage to a digital signal in 05 I think...have to tap the blue/yellow wire on the top connector of the PCM (under the hood). As for the Amp, connect the RCA jacks from the adaptor to the SUB OUT of the D3 and the SYS REMOTE wire from the D3 to the blue wire of the adaptor ( I just twisted them both togeher and soldered them to the SYS REMOTE from the Head Unit). You will probably also need Ducatis (0r your own) 5V regulator inline with the blue wire in order to keep the amp from "popping" when you turn it on.
