Well that sucks...maybe I should start a company -
Anybody make a combo antenna for XM and GPS (would have to have to leads obviously) that will work with the Z1 and the GEX-P10XMT? Would make for a much cleaner install only having one antenna....

Apparently the engineers at Pioneer thought it would be fine....considering it is designed that way.

A ground strap is just a wire basically...usually use braided cable...I have used a peice of RG-8 Coax and stripped off the outer plastic sheath and pulled the center conductor/dialectric out of it then just used the braided sheild with some lugs soldered on the end of it....

Unless they changed it from the 05 (Mine) to 07 (His) (Entirely Possible I suppose) he doesn't need any adaptor. -

You shouldn't need any adaptor for the antenna.....Ford uses the standard antenna plug.... -

Dont have a D3, but I do have a GT (2005). VSS changed from a pulsed voltage to a digital signal in 05 I think...have to tap the blue/yellow wire on the top connector of the PCM (under the hood). As for the Amp, connect the RCA jacks from the adaptor to the SUB OUT of the D3 and the SYS REMOTE wire from the D3 to the blue wire of the adaptor ( I just twisted them both togeher and soldered them to the SYS REMOTE from the Head Unit). You will probably also need Ducatis (0r your own) 5V regulator inline with the blue wire in order to keep the amp from "popping" when you turn it on.
