  1. The N3's didnt have the ribbon problem. Those units shipped with the upgraded ribbon cable. The N1's and N2's had the ribbon cable problem. Perhaps the motor just burned out on the unit and needs replacing by Pioneer?
  2. on the screen that says "Please Wait", just wait. It actually took like 20 minutes for this to happen. I think it has to do with the v1.6 Android firmware. My Nexus One is v2.1 firmware, and transfers contacts over quickly.
  3. If you had done the research, then you would have seen that the Sirius interface has always sucked for years. XM used to be superior until Mel bought them out.
  4. This thread is for XM, not Sirius. No it is not the same company. Yes they have totally different billing systems and deals.
  5. Pioneer actually includes a bunch of these anchors inside the package for the CD-VC1. (this is the steering wheel remote and the microphone for the older N and D series Navi's). I have a pack here and have been saving them in case my next vehicle warrants me using them.
  6. That should be fine as long as you are absolutely sure there is no metal inside the dash above where the antenna is to be placed, not just straight up, but on a 45 degree angle on all sides, to ensure it can receive the signals.
  7. Initially, I had the opposite problem with both my G1 and Nexus One, both Android phones, my contacts wouldnt transfer at all. But deleting the pairing, then re-paring the phones with the Navi worked and saved all my contacts permanently
  8. Simple answer is, you can't protect yourself in this situation. The seller can simply call up XM, with the Radio ID in hand, and cancel the remainder of the service and have a refund sent to the billing address on file, which is the seller's address. Buyer Beware.
  9. The N2 has no outputs for external touchscreen interface. You can only get video-out.
  10. I dont think that is true. I believe the N1 and N3 faceplates ARE interchangeable. I always was under the impression that the only difference between the two units was the hideaway "brain". The N3 is much more upgraded for better ipod control, and for the visual XM Radio graphics. but the head units themselves were identical?
  11. For the iPod control, I believe you need the CD-IB100. For the newest discs, the model # is CDNV90MT. You can purchase the discs from www.pioneerelectronics.com
  12. Welcome aboard, and enjoy your purchase You have a fine navigation unit there!
  13. Ritek/Ridata discs are crap. The dye used in the disks are highly more susceptible to getting corrupt when left in the car in the heat. (Trust me, i learned this from experience!) My experience, the best discs to use to burn the Navi discs are either Verbatim (found in any store), or Taiyo Yuden (imported discs from Japan).
  14. As soon as they post it on FB, I'll let you know by posting here!
  15. Just posted on Facebook from Pioneer North America: Pioneer Electronics (North America) wants to give a heads up to those who have already purchased the new AVIC-X920BT: The PC version of Musicsphere and PandoraLink iPhone app will be available on our website very soon. Thank you for your support and patience.
  16. Stop making this political, or take it to the off-topic area.

  18. Took me less than 30 seconds to search and find the info you need. Stop being a lazy frickin newb and just search before you ask viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17978
  19. I highly doubt anything will be updated in regards to MSN Direct. The service is shutting down in a year and a half, and MSN is practically giving away the shop by only charging $24.95 till its demise.
  20. I just want to throw my two cents in. i purchased one and received it about a week later.. (I work for the US Postal Service and know how shitty it is). Simple instructions, had the knob on in less than two minutes, and made the functionality 10000 times better! And it doesn't obscure the neons colored light behind the knob! All i can say is Thomas did something that Pioneer couldnt do, and that was make the unit more functional. Thank you!!
  21. You just joined today, posted the same thing three times, and thats to beg someone to give you a product key code #? Get lost.
  22. and thank you for the heads up on POIFriend. Looks like a much nicer site than the one I have been using, POI Factory.
