  1. Try disconnecting the splitter and have the car's antenna run only into the radio and see what kind of AM signal that gives you.
  2. The ipod interface on the F-series units use the rear AV1 (RCA) input for audio and video signal from the ipod. The radio's USB cable is only for control and charging of the ipod. You need to go into the menu and change the AV1 setting to ipod for this to work.
  3. What kind of connector does that line out port on the dock use? Maybe you can find a cable that plugs in to that and has RCA cables on the other end.

    Security Code

A security code is in no way an anti-theft feature... it just means that the guy who stole your radio won't get any money for it. Unless he finds an idiot to buy it who doesn't know any better.
  5. You should really have made a full copy of the flash disk contents before you started messing around with the unit...
  6. This link is not an f-series radio, but the same conclusion is drawn. The lowest FM frequency allowed by the FCC for broadcast is 87.9, and therefor any FM radios made for the US market will not go below that. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15784&highlight=tuner+below
  7. Can't you just plug the Pioneer ipod cable into the dock?
  8. It's the same exact model as the F700 except it was made for dealer installation and wasn't available directly to consumers.

  10. Sorry, but you heard wrong. The DVD drive will only play the nav disk.
  11. Yes, it reads and displays them. But it will only play them in the order they are on the card/stick, according to the file system. Also shuffle. But you can't select an artist to play or anything like that, like you can with an ipod. Unless you make a folder for each artist that is, then you can just select that folder and play it.
  12. There are a LOT of companies that are run by these people you need to avoid buying things from. Buy from a reputable source. Sure, it may cost a little more, but there's also a chance that trying to buy from the lowest seller could cost you WAY more in the end. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13207 http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17828
  13. Sorry, USB hubs will not work in the F-series units. Only 1 USB device connected at a time. It says that right in the manual.
  14. Yeah, I saw that too. If it lists Best Buy as a dealer for it, give them a call and see if they know what it's about.
  15. If no sound comes out on that F-series unit it's either because he didn't hook up the RCA cable part of the ipod cable or hasn't gone into the menu and switched the AV1 input to ipod.
  16. Nope. None of the new ipods will play video on the D3, except for the ipod classics, and even then only with one certain older version of the firmware.
  17. There should be a wire on your car's radio harness that goes to a factory antenna amplifier. If you used an aftermarket radio adapter harness it should have a blue wire labeled antenna that it connects to.
  18. It seems there is absolutely no information about either of those models on the internet anywhere, not even pioneer's website. I'm guessing that they are some kind of dealer unit or something, like the AVIC-F7010BT that was made as a unit to be supplied only to auto manufacturers?
  19. There's gotta be at least 1 person here somewhere who works at a car audio place who can borrow a set from a display model and upload them...
  20. Pioneer is not going to update/make new hardware for a discontinued product, especially if it's because it doesn't work correctly with something that wasn't even in existence when it was produced.
  21. Does the ipod work correctly when not plugged in to the D3? Have you tried plugging another ipod into the D3 to see if it's the ipod or the D3/ipod cable that's not working correctly?
