No, with the exception of the password lock and that basically prevents someone from using it unless they take it to a Pioneer Service Center/Authorized Dealer which if you register it then they will know it is yours and stolen. 2. You have to install the microphone... best place most have found is to the left of the sun visor or directly on the visor.

djhuab, you are on a Pioneer forum but never really have anything but negative to say about them and you own a Kenwood. You promote the Kenwood at any given chance and take every opportunity to sway people from buying a F-Series... don't get me wrong, I think it is great that you give an honest opinion to people questioning buying a unit, but I do feel it is slightly biased considering you have such strong feelings about it. Makes me wonder if you are regretting getting rid of yours for some reason or another. I promise I am not trying to be a jerk by any means so please do not take it that wa

I played with a unit at BB as well before getting mine but trust me when I tell you there is a BIG difference in playing with a store unit for 5-10 minutes and actually using one that you own everyday. Things can always be worse but for a new product line, this thing was released WAY before it should have been.

As well as editing the numbers to a specific format, some phones (such as my iPhone 3G) required me to edit the contact name to not include any characters other than letters and numbers. I have received several PMs regarding this and each member I have suggested this to (not my fix, I am not sure who credit for this goes to but I found it in a post) it has fixed the issue. Well worth a try... I know I was like a kid on Christmas morning the first time it recognized and called a number by name.

Do you have the volume limiting turned on or off on the iPod (adjusts the volume of all songs to be the same)? That could be an issue, I dunno... just throwing out ideas...

Someone posted on here some time ago that depending on the carrier that the incoming call is coming from, it would change how the number coming in was displayed which in turn would change how the unit matches it up. Just an idea as to why it may be happening? So far since editing my phonebook all of mine come in matched up... *knock on wood*

I REALLY hope this is true as I took the plunge on this unit knowing it had some major issues and looked to Pioneer to pay attention and fix things. The rumor mill is swirling about this Tuesday update... I am excited yet trying not to set my hopes too high. I suppose we will all see in a few days...

Yes, known issue... supposedly a fix will be included on the update that is rumored to hit this coming week.

I think the F series has amazing potential as long as this 'update' comes our way.
