Iphone not working for ipod connection
NextLevelco replied to c0ugar69's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
I can confirm that the ipod part of the iphone works with 1.1.3 also, must have been the way the songs were loaded or the firmware was corrupt? -
I did not realize they dropped to $699 either, they were $999 last week.

nd-bt1 plugs directly into back of headunit, no power or anything (like usb plug n play).

Iphone not working for ipod connection
NextLevelco replied to c0ugar69's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
I have 2 iphones and each has a different firmware. 1.1.1 everything works, I think I noticed sometimes it will charge, sometimes it won't.. Will look more into it. 1.1.3 connects but wont list any songs.. Not sure about the charging. There are to many variables with the 2 phones for me to say anything specific. It could be an update broke the connection, it could be the way the songs were loaded on, etc... I will try to troubleshoot more and figure out why things do what they do.... The iphone connecting using bluetooth works good (1.1.1 iphone) never tryed with the new -
I bought a refurb unit, connected it up, works great, ALL channels. Same thing no signal, acts like it is not connected as far as "properties")signal etc go. It is the navtraffic unit, I have NO subscription. Since it all works I assume it is hooked up correct, and since it is free I couldn't careless it says no signal... When it stops working and I have to pay, thats when I will worry. I have read a few things about people getting a unit and it staying on for long periods of time, I also read it is a 3 month trial, but I can't see it working for 3 months for free without any

If someone is interested I have an idea. If you have an unlocked drive and can hook it up to your computer, try this: I think system mechanic(a program) allows you to take a snapshot of your computer(harddrive etc..) and after you install something it will tell you what is different. Well if someone can figure out a way to take a snapshot of their z drive, put it into their z record a album to it, bring it back to the computer and compare, we will know what needs to be done for songs to show up and play once converted.. Just brainstorming... I dont have an unlocked drive (just

They sell a direct fm cable, plugs into your antenna. It is $32 at best buy. I have the sportster 5 and understand why you want it over the sirius for pioneer, but I rarely used the rewind features anyway.. So it has been in my trunk for about a month, lol. I have xm on my z2, about to get the sirius pioneer unit so I actually use my subscription.

It acts as an ipod, nothing more. Wish we could bring it up on the screen like Steve Jobs does during keynotes.. Imagine being able to see the controls of the iphone on the screen and touching it like you do now.. Surfing the web, reading email, watching videos... If apple gave us flash we wouldn't need anything else..

Possible to take a Z2 and and run a clone of HD3 soft in it?
NextLevelco replied to ozdude's topic in Hacks/Mods
Curious how this works out. hd3 has bluetooth built in, do you have the bluetooth for your z? -
Can you post a diagram or link showing the diodes on the line, and what kind of diode(radio shack product no?)

correct. and I think then you would need headphones?? to separate the sound, or some way to separate them front and rear(doesn't sound right)..
