Well I've played with app mode for the past couple cause cause the nav couldn't find some addresses I've had to go to the past few days for work so I used waze which found all the addresses I needed, so did apple maps and google maps, just not on the nex, and I searched several different ways, intersections, towns, townships etc. I sorta like waze but would rather use something else I don't like the goofie ui, but the features I do like and it's very fluent in app mode and control from the nex. I don't like that I can't use SD CARD MUSIC when using app mode though, I was forced to use

When I called pioneer, which I had a few times because I had several questions as I got more familiar with the unit I still asked the same questions to see what kind of answers I would get and each time they just said summer was the release for the AVICSync app. I have been checking the App Store frequently anyway because I'm OCD Like that. 😳 getting through sucked as each time it was at least a 30-45 minute on hold so I would call, put the phone on speaker and just wait while doing something

Just like kokenka said, pandora, aha, however You also get iPod function from the iPhone if you select USB as your smartphone connection and charging.

Yes you go into settings, backgrounds, and u can load a photo from sd card

You only need the lightning cable for pandora and aha radio

I would like to add that when using nav, and you arrive at your destination the nav actually stops your route, it sucks you have to go in and cancel the route

For me I would like to see 2 things changed First I would like seperate connection options for the two USB ports 2nd I would like to get rid of the Allow clicking on the phone Those are the 2 big things for me.

I haven't had any problems with Bluetooth, I've used the radio for about 2k miles now, and no you must keep hitting allow for those permissions

Nice I too rather plug things in than to have dangling wires that can can be bent or break easily from the constant connecting and disconnecting

I have about 20 movies and don't have any problems. I first formatted my sd card with a dedicated program, then most of my movies are mp4. In the manual it recommends formatting with a dedicated program from sandisk or the like. I would do it and then recoups to ur card. Play it on the computer and then check it on your nex.

That's what pioneer told me on the phone when i inquired about it, so we can just hope I guess

Look at the installation manual posted on the forum, it will help you visualize and have an understanding a little better.

Ya I updated my joined a couple of days ago but haven't been in my truck since, I too use a cheapy gas station cable but haven't had any problems with mine

Awesome sling is idea kudos Is your ipad connected to USB 1, and you have chosen digital adapter in smartphone setup, all should be good.

I would get a 2nd USB extension cable and run both to an easy location that you can connect your devices to. Remember usb1 is for iPhone app mode and USB 2 is for android app mode. Look at the installation manual posted in ine of the threads to see your connections options.

I think someone had said they checked on crutchfield web site, matched up the two harnesses but I can't remember which models they were for so give it a try

In looking at the cables there is no such connector on the back of the unit for the CDIV202navi "square connector"That angle square plug is not used for nex units per my conversation with pioneer. If your getting incompatible device while you have digital av selected in the smartphone setup and chose USB 1 as your source to play music, we are all getting that message from from the nex with iPhones. It's their design. I think its a flaw and should still let u see it as an iPod, but this is their design to force you to use the app radio music app. I know I've hit pioneer with several emails about the unit, hopefully others have with maybe the chance of them changing how usb1 and usb2 should have its own connection selections for each

The one I put on my sons ipad is an anti static no smudge, and u can't even notice it's on the iPad, i gonna order that cause the nex is a dust magnet

The bypass posted for this thread gives you full functions on the nex

Ya, I would need the full screen covered or that would annoy me too

I dunno maybe it's me, I play with a unit before I buy it, I had a z2 and it took the nex to finally let go of my z2. Never keep what doesn't make you happier.
