Someone needs to start a paypal for this guy. Even just a dollar a image would be awesome, the guy would make money on the side while doing all this for us and a dollar isn't bad at all! Once I have my 3.0 running and a good image of my car I'll definitely be asking for this and i'd be happy to pay the 1st dollar. It looks like you already did the iphone and ipod for contacts and AV source so when I have a good image of my car I'll PM you.

This looks so much more promising with all the files being able to down loaded so easly. I really appreciate this and look forward to trying it tomorrow morning. I have to grab one more SD card from a friend. Ok, so I tried downloading the files from the ftp://www.turboss.com and they didn't show up on my computer. I sincerely apologize for my lack of computer program cloning and formating etc etc. If anyone wants to walk me through it via AIM let me know. sidewalksquare on AIM I don't have much to give but if you have att cell phone I can hook you up on the back end. Well, to me, a Software Engineer with a Masters in Software Engineering and 8 years experience under my belt, a hack is defined as a software modification in order to bypass certain features. I did not modify any software at all, so no hack. but to each there own. You are welcome to pay Pioneer for what they should have given for free if you want. If you are happy with yours then clearly you have lower standards than I (and others) do. Not a problem, keep your unit. I am moving on. quoted for truth!

Honestly this should be going passed our differences. I feel like that little kid telling people not to fight. The truth is that with out someone being pissed about some performance we wouldn't have standards to go by at all. If it weren't for people pointing out the flaws of the unit when it was first released, if it weren't for those early adopters of this product, I wouldn't have known to wait. I the 2.006 update with a SD card from my canon and it worked perfect.

wait! they didn't even fix the the north point up at all times. That is gay! I hate that only 3D mode points the arrow up. I want that in 2D. I'm looking at the images more. So it seems you can turn the north up option on and off?

well lets focus on the issues that 3.0 might have version hating on each other. Even when we vent we can get something out of it as long as we see past the venting and look at the issues at hand.

There is no 3.0 update on Pioneer's website, It's an SD card only. They are talking about a hacked 3.0 from an X Unit. That is what I thought. Thank you.

wait? You got 3.0 from pioneers website? Did they charge you to down load it? You sure you didn't get 2.006? I know that is a stupid question but why am I waiting weeks to get my SD card if it's a down load now?

Thank you! I assume that I can do this via mac since it is a down load to SD card and I'm not actually manipulating anything else. Also, ignore my PM about sourcing this for me. I'd still would love to try the pioneer 3.0 though

Anyway you can post the 3.0 for us to try out. I would really like to see what it's going to do to the unit before they actually charge me. I don't care about the map update I wanted the bug fixes more than anything! I'm ok with the unit and what it can do. The ipod works well for me and the bluetooth is soft but I ride my motorcycle more often than not. The GPS, I haven't had 1 issue with it since start up. I didn't know there was a night mode, haha, my bad. Either way... any chance we can get a chance to try this 3.0 out.

So I realized how to get into night mode and day mode. I didn't realize that this was a night mode and never notice the change of time as a reason that the screen would go dark colors like this. It makes great sense to keep your eyes focused on dark colors for night vision. I still don't like it though, haha.

ok. I was just tripping because of the all the browns when all the videos online (IE: youtube, cnet) show the map in a lighter green. To be honest part of it is that it just looks ugly! Colors can be changed (search the Hacks forum for "Color Schemes"). But depending on your location, colors will be different. Some terrain features might be coded in brown. ah! that makes sesne. Cool. I thought that the map or the screen was just being weird. I'm heading to SF tomorrow so I'll see if the map changes. Is this normal color for a F90BT and is there a way to change it? It started day one at a random spot and it went away but came back. I then did the 2.006 update and it is still there. I've tried to reset the system but it still shows in this color. Am I missing something? Is there a way to change the color of maps?

Just curious to know if anyone has any images of what the color of the map is when you are free roaming (no destination selected) and when you have a route in progress? The road colors are similuar but the "negative area" changes from light greens to dark/earth colored sections. I tried looking up "color", "color of map", "map screen while in route" and I can't find anything. I apologize for thread hijacking. But I have a F90BT so i figured this was a good place for it. Issue: map color while in route changes to dark browns. map color is lighter, more greens and less browns. Car: 2002
