So I am about ready to order an X920bt, but I was wondering if it allows for video output to external screens such as headrest monitors, and still have the navigation screen on the head unit? I looked around and searched this forum but can't seem to be able to find any information on this. Can anyone help? Thanks....

I have the 8120 and the iphone 3G. They work flawlessly. The phone book transfer was automatic and the call quality is about as good as you can get.

I had mine installed under the dash....No problems with reception, and you can't see it which is what I wanted.

Because when last I checked, A&E was back-ordered on the 8120. What was the pkg price for the HU and the outboard GPS? the 8120 is in stock now , because mine shipped yesterday.

Yes, but its on back order. So I might cancel it and still get the "F" it a fix comes soon.

If you want to gamble on a firmware update from pioneer, then I would get one of the f series. It will be the best thing going if and when it gets fixed. Otherwise, kenwood seems to be the way to go.

Its nice to finally hear a positive report. I look forward to hearing an update after a few days of use to see if it is still problem free.

I would feel better about it if they actually showed a history of backing up their products, which they have not done. Unless you count releasing a new model and making you buy a whole new head unit as backing it up...lol. My fingers are still crossed that they come through on this one. Although it will need to be soon before I go with another company.

I agree the UI definitely looks better on the pioneer. If only the functionality matched it would be a no brainer.

I wasn't my intent to offend anyone. I am just curious why people are still rushing out to buy one. Maybe the problems reported are ones that people can live with. Or maybe some of the other features that are working correctly out weigh the ones that aren't. Thats actually the kind of information I was looking for. It seems to me that if they weren't selling, that would be more incentive for pioneer to fix the issues.

I am still on the fence about buying one of these f series units with all the perceived and /or real problems reported. So my question is to those that are still buying these units after all the bad user reports. What is the draw to them even though you know you could be inheriting problems, or it might not work as expected? Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like a lot of money to spend in the hope that Pioneer will come through with an update. Even though past practice shows that they probably won’t. Has anyone got an official word from pioneer that they will update it

It never did. It's the same now as it was when it was released. So what makes anyone think that they are going to fix these issues?

Thanks Mike, everyday I am getting closer to a kenwood. I am still hoping a miracle comes through with the Pioneer though, I just need to make a decision before the al-eds deal goes away.

My Garmin nuvi 360 with bluetooth will direct dial POI's Are you sure the 8120 won't do this?

I was sooo looking forward to the f90bt, but now with all the bug reports I am leaning more towards the 8120.....what to do, what to do....I am a big fan of Garmin navigation, but I love the idea of the voice features of the f series.
