  1. WWWHHHAAAAAATTTTTT!?!?!? How??
  2. Not 100% true. You have to create a "Pictures" folder first, put the background in that folder and put the folder on your SD card or flash drive, and import from _____ will be an option.
  3. Wrong. Not everyone here is a dick. On the contrary, most of the members here would be more than willing to assist another member, IF they know damn well the OP searched and tried his hardest to find the answer first, and it's very easy to tell who tried and who just expects the answer to be spoonfed to them.
  4. God i miss that truck Had the 03 Xtreme in red. Nice install, but it looks like there are gaps on the left and right side, is that correct?
  5. Irrelevant. Can you watch a movie or use nav options while driving? Then your bypass is fine. The problem lies somewhere in the camera and/or your camera wiring.
  6. The answers to your questions can be found in the F series FAQ section or the operation manual for your unit. He's being a "dick" because you obviously gave no effort to find the answer yourself before making a new thread on previously covered topics. It doesn't take a freaking genius to find either of those sources of information.
  7. Why didn't you contact your seller when you first noticed the unit was buggy?
  8. You may want to look into the F series then It has both those features.
  9. Yeah but getting it right now requires building a carputer or hacking the F. I'm talking about it coming stock. I mean what else can you cram into a radio? They already have GPS nav, multimedia from multiple sources, gas prices, movie info, forcast, traffic info, bluetooth, SAT ready, voice commands, Hard drives, besides internet access and downloading straight to the radio I can't imagine any other breakthrough ideas. Maybe blu-ray player but that's not a huge leap in technological advances as far as aftermarket radios go.
  10. Tom if that's really you, then you are by far the coolest guy I've ever had the pleasure of knowing glad to see you got it up (the picture).
  11. Don't waste your time, Sanke eyes, the guy's nothing more than a hotshot smartass. He'll probaby just have some stupid remark to this like he always does, and everyone will refuse to help him.
  12. Umm, either the format is not permitted or the file size is too big. Unless no one can post picss, then I'd PM Jason, maybe he temporarily turned them off due to the recent server issues. Personally I use photobucket and paste the IMG codes so I rarely ever even use attachments. If you'd like you can email me the picture and I can post it for you if you can't get it to work.
  13. not on movies Did he say movies or the AV interfaces? AV stands for Audio/Visual. Movies are Visual You don't have to explain to me what AV stands for. I understood what he meant, you clearly did not.
  14. It probably would've been more. Technology's a great thing, it always leaves you wondering what'll be the next big thing...probably internet access to check your mail and such, and a playlist that uploads from your home computer and the option to download music right to your unit via iTunes or something. That'd be awesome.
  15. Which one did you call? The one i called said $748. Bastards.
  16. X2. Software bypass is redundant IMO 1. Takes more time to do 2. You risk bricking your unit if you have no idea what you're doing 3. hardware bypass is just as effctive 4. If your unit ever crashed, Hardware bypass is reversible. Software is not.
  17. Told you it's not that bad Congrats, it looks like a factory install. Good job.
  18. Wrong. I called a local 6th Ave for the 90 and they told be $748, there are members getting it for less than $600 via th online store. Find the coupon code and hurry, I think it expires the 10th IIRC
  19. I would do what Dianebrat said and mess with the different route options. If it still gives you bad directions, try the Leetlauncher and check out the Tomtom or Garmin maps.
  20. Oh gotcha, didn't think of that. Definitely would be a possibility.
  21. The phone signal strength and battery life displays are .bmp images in the Image.res file. Each strength value has its own image which the coding calls for to give the correct reading. Perhaps it's as simple as finding the script that uses those images and pasting it in the appropriate file to bring them up on the map? The only catch is they will have a black background behind them.
  22. If you have access to an ODB reader, check the vehicle for any codes. If any come up, delete them, soft codes like that can be erased and sometimes fix the problem. Has this ever happened before the installation?
  23. You;re going to have to buy a newer iPod, some iPods, especially the older ones are not compatible with the F Series.
