    POI's

Hey guys, how do I turn off the little POI's on the map? I've gone through settings and cant seem to find anything.
  2. nevercomecast - gotta tell them who's man, refuse their shitty service if they do not come out in 24hrs and give you a 4hr window not 24
  3. why would you want to turn it off, turn off the screen if you dont want to see anythin...
  4. lol, orange county... ask the chopper boys to h4x0r your headunit and make it ub3r cool... but the problem is, when/if you ever have a gf she might ditch you and go out with the headunit because it's going to be cooler than you...
  5. Start there -> http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18977 From my understanding, the x910bt is the same software wise so it will be the same as far as software mod for parking break
  6. Great walkthrough, worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
  7. I do not see how a location would cause a problem, unless there is something specific or unusual that was trying to load or if it's trying to say something... strange issues... If you go on a drive for the same amount of time, but not on freeway, will it reboot?
  8. All set now, thanks for no help everyone! I really appreciate it!
  9. The one's I've pulled from Infinities didnt have sound recognition, it was just visual showed if your car was straight, how youre turning, and where youre going to end up... as far as the sensors go those are seperate I believe, they are usually built into the bumper of the car
  10. The cameras that do are about 600$ and there is not guaranteethat it will work properly with the avic unit, Infinity uses those cameras and they use a Avic z3 with specific modifications to get it to work.
  11. in what way do you think it will be possible to add that button? I do not like to put it on the screen, what if I put it in the bottom line to the avoid screen: during the navigation the button "avoid" is active, when you push it you can choose the blocked distance, delete route and ... switch on/off the sound. if it is suitable let me know, that i can do. Yuri Yuri, that works!
  12. Strange... It runs fast enough in 3D for me, unless I up the simulation speed to 1000 mph... It skips on mine, it kind of skips on 2D, but 2D is somewhate bearable, I thought before that it was the mods, but when I reformatted and updated it still ran the same. I did raise the memory, but still no dice...
  13. You can turn it off, take a knife and cut the cables... Boris, he never said he wanted to turn it back on...
  14. 3.0 is pretty nice, but I am waiting for Yuri to rewrite this skin to support iGO 8.3 before I am upgrading As is, other than newer maps (and possibly a chance to use Navteq ones) 8.3 doesn't do all that much to me: I never use 2D head-up mode, and Road Signs... I have them on my Navigon. They are nice the first time you see them, but that's about it. I'd much rather have a good navi interface and features that Yuri exposes. The part that I most like about the 3.0 is the speed difference, it's amazing what they've done, it's almost as if they shouldnt sell it and pay people to update
  15. Damn, thats a HUGE difference in speed, its flying!
  16. Alright, so I've played with Yuri's version, and it's an entierly different breed of mod. I found it to be a bit confusing at first, everything is hidden and it makes you think *ugh, now where is that* but once you get the hang of it and know the gui a bit more you can flip through it fairly quickly. Design overall is pretty simple (the way I like it) most buttons are hidden that you do not use on a regular basis, but they are easy to get to if you need it. GUI is VERY user freindly, most of the settings you will ever need are at your fingertip (litreally) which is fairly nice, altho
  17. Easiest way to hack the ezrider is find a ruski to do it for you they have all the best hacked toys
  18. i was able to get the phone to recognize. Now that it 'sees' it and the music is cataloged, I can hit play... but, I get no sound... hmm Yes, under settings AV1 is set to ipod. Yes, Rca cables are connected
  19. The strangest thing is happening, my iphone 3g isn't being recognized, it's charging (so I know the cable works fine) and I've changed the settings under av source to ipod/video/acc but the Iphone does not show up under the list of available sources. I then tried using a usb thumbstick, that too was not being recognized, I followed that by putting in my SD card as a test to see if recognizes it as a(n) audio source... that too failed... This is a brand new reformat of the OS > followed by 2.006 update > followed by Yuri's update and no, the iphone/thumbstick/sd were not being re
  20. thats going to drain your battery and kill your alternator... hm, must be another way... I wonder how much charge it takes, I'm pretty sure its 5v for mem
  21. I agree, why would you thank frank...
  22. it should be able to as long as the unit is connected to a current... maybe if you wired the unit into a hot wire it would keep the mem from clearing
  23. I'll test out first Yuris standalone, and then test yours out, I'll check the differences and make comments I must say, your trip calc came along nicely, huge difference since we first talked about it a year ago.
  24. this was the thread you were talking about in PM correct?
