  1. I'm wondering who actually has a Sosche Passport and is using it with either their iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2nd GEN in conjunction with their AVIC-D3? I keep reading mixed reviews about some people saying it works and some saying it doesn't. So I would like to hear from people who actually OWN the damn thing
  2. Just outa curiosity how much feedback did the seller have? I know you said 100% but a seller could have 8 feedbacks and still be 100%
  3. So let me make sure I am understanding you correctly, you already have an 80MT disc installed but you wanna FORCE reinstall it? If so then do this... Go into your NAV MENU and select "System Options", then select "Language". Change your language to either French or Spanish.. The unit will reboot and reinstall the map software in that language you selected.... Then once it has finished you can go back thru the menus to change back to ENGLISH. Just make sure you remember where the menus are because remember they will be in a different language when you first update. This method worked pe

  7. Just a little howto guide on downloading the new 80MT discs and burning them. I noticed that others are having similar issues that I was when trying to burn DVD NAV discs and the unit not being able to read them. I tried several different discs as well as different programs and I believe I have finally found the ultimate solution. I actually have TWO AVIC-D3 units and while one unit will play ANY NAV disc that I put in it no matter what program I used to burn it, my other D3 unit is VERY touchy. I noticed that the unit that doesn't like to play certain discs was manufactured on Feb 2007 where'
  8. Funny I was just about to post up a similar thread. I have two D3 units and one of them plays burned map discs just fine but the new one that I just got won't play them at all. I have tried memorex DVD-DL discs and I have also tried Verbatim DVD-DL discs. Both discs play just fine in one D3 unit but in the other unit neither disc will work. FWIW, when I try the Verbatim disc the unit tries to read the disc but then tells me to insert the appropriate disc. But when I try the memorex disc the D3 tries to read it but then spits it out and says "Disc Read Error". I noticed that the unit that D
  9. Does it not even come on or does the touch just not work?
  10. I had this same problem one time and it ended up being a shitty connection in the stock BCM harness. Was this happening with your stock deck? How long have you had the truck?
  11. I recently purchased another D3 for my other car and this unit came with a different NAV disc than my other D3. They both say ver 1.0 but as you can see from the picture one says for D3 and N4 and the other says just D3. Anyone know wtf the diff is or why they aren't the same disc?
  12. I been having the same issue with a another D3 that I recently purchased. My other D3 doesn't do this but my new D3 does...
