  1. same here. I called Pioneer and gave them detailed descriptions of the problems. They for some reason they sounded surprised on the other end of the phone. Their solution was assanine. I was told there was no plans for a second update and I would have to send my unit out for repair and go back to my factory stereo until they can figure out the problems, with no time frame for getting back the unit. BS I called Cruthcfield and they sent me a new unit, at least one company knows about customer service.
  2. Yes. I do. I thought I was crazy. If it didn't cost so much and I didn't love my truck so much, I would toss this thing forcefully at the temple of the designer. I cannot transfer contacts, my iPod drops in and out and when I do connect my phone via BT the unit pumps feedback through the phone and disconnects any phone calls I make. Of by chance the call stays connected the person on the other line is forced to hang up due to the noise.Should of bought a Kenwood.

  4. Beautifully stated on point #5. You really could have said it for the entire story though. Please get all out of my Momma.
  5. So I can't decide who is a bigger d-bag. Me or the guy from Pioneer? Please hold the cliche "Since you asked..." comeback. Yesterday I posted: I spoke with a rep from Pioneer and he told me to turn off the VR cataloging. This feature only needs to be on if you have new items on your iPod. Once your iPod has been cataloged, the names TTS will be stored inside the unit. If the VR catalog is turned on, the AVIC reads the iPod every time you turn on the unit. The rep told me this would create drags in the viewing maps and switching from source to source. Being a Pioneer customer
  6. I'm a newb to your community here, but I think I have some helpful advice for those experiencing slow start ups and painful iPod connections.
