i agree I agree as well. I like to know what the upcoming streets are and what options I have to get to my work appts. I hope that if they fix the 2d compass issue that they move the arrow cursor down a bit or it won't help much seeing what's coming up.

Same issues with my 8830. I've found something weird as well. I never put any of my 130 or so contacts in any "category" on the phone. At that point the navi would sometime take a while to connect, show "connection failed" for a few minutes and then it would connect for good, no problems. I read one of the threads about correcting BB bluetooth problems and started putting all my contacts into either business or personal contacts as suggested. I've only made it through categorizing about 60 of them, but it doesn't connect any quicker and now the bluetooth disconnects from time to time for

There already is a keypad for phone dialing..... But DURING the phone call to access voicemail, extensions, etc.

I completely agree I freaking HATE them!!! That and the "cockpit" timers. That glitch makes absolutely no sense at all. No sense.

Yummy...a second update?? Get rid of the blue boxes and cockpit time boxes, add a keypad for the bluetooth...2d nav compass fix...one button suspend destination maybe....

What I hate is when I'm on the handset, turn on my car, and let it connect to the BT. It never properly picks up the call and I can't hear them nor can they hear me. I have to switch back to the handset or hang up and call them back from the BT for it to work.

I'd like some help here too. I've tried a couple free converters but its only a trial version, and the video still hiccups like crazy. I wish there was one program that was free, verified to work, and easy to use.

True, but it has to be one of the easiest to correct. Also, the full-screen cockpit should be turned off with no destination plotted.

In my experience, yes. XM comes on very fast - within 15 seconds. SD card takes at least a minute. Ipod is relatively fast as well. Now keep in mind though the music comes on fast, you cant change it till its done loading, which is about 2 minutes. Any source connected to AV1 starts almost immediately, I do like that.

It means there is no address listing and its trying to save you time from trying to find it since its not in the system. It's a good thing.

I've noticed a problem regarding this. The AVIC BT connects, but I can't hear anything and the other end can't hear me...but the blue light is on the AVIC. The handset doesn't work unless I manually switch it back either...

Couldn't have said it better myself. The BT is now useable but nowhere near perfect. No keypad, no mute, heavy hiss in the background and quirky things like once in a while zooming all the way out or all the way in when answering a call...but does it work now? Yes.

It's not totally irrelevant, half the systems function like ass, so...

She's at my place now buddy, its over. In fact, she told me last night in a robotic scratchy voice "Lemonhead, you're a 10 and norcon was only a 7 comma 5."

On mine, the leftmost box went away when I was in 2d mode and didn't come back. Don't know why. Now that I've done the firmware update, both boxes are there in both 2d and 3d mode. That has to be the easiest bug fix ever, I don't know what was in the engineers minds when they let this go.

Call quality is MUCH better according to 2 people so far today. I've tested it with them every time I tried to adjust/fix the stupid thing and now they both said my voice was 100 times better.

I didn't tell him off, I said try a search. The backup camera stuff is unrelated at all to the thread and that info and much more about it is in a few other camera specific threads, no need to rehash all the same info that's all. And who are you tell me anything anyway?
