    I recently bought a very small light bulb for my glove compartment (runs on 12 volts). I do not want the light bulb on unless my headlights are on. Is it safe to draw power from the illumination wire or should i just draw from the accessory 12 volt and put in some sort of switch?

    yeah my garmin had the same thing. And the answer to your question is no. If you want more specific vehicle information, you will have to buy their additional unit.

    the XM antenna needs to be outside of your car to get reception. There aren't many XM satellites so you need to get the best reception by putting it outside and on your car.

    There is no way to change your unit back to the 40mp discs. Even if you were to get your hands on the olds discs, it would not accept them because you have a newer version of maps. Why would you want to downgrade anyway?

    I suggest you take xm's offer. By you downloading them from a torrent, what is the difference really? Once you get it from XM, you can make a backup copy.

    Also do a search for ebay for some cheap copies of the originals. Sell for about 40 dollars.

    For sure 10-15F is below the ideal operating range, which in the manual says will affect the screen. Does this still occur when the heater in your car warms up everything?

    ok im pretty sure this is how they found you. Doing a google search i was able to find this www.cardomain.com/id/cntrylvr79 has a picture of your car right there as well as where you work/location. Be careful what you post online
