not a problem ill post up pics of the install this week along with pics and perhaps video of the cd Ib100 working on a f series as well just to dispell the notion.because the cd I100II does show up as EXT 1 on the f series and so does the cd changer

i usually dont chime in on these kind of off topic subjects but this has gotten my attention. First off its a open forum,If someone doesnt like a f series or anything for that matter they are entitled to there opinion. Now if they are just spewing venom and not offering any kind of factual reasons as to why the dont like the product then thats just a waste. The F sereies In my Opinion isnt a bad unit,People are resistant to change and sometimes unwilling to have a open mind. Pioneer says a cdIb100II wont work with the F series either and i have installed that combination 2 times already. As i previously stated I didnt like the way the Ib100 worked with the F series but i needed to use it because my customer Needed Ipod And 2 Av inputs In his install,So yes does it work YES,Did it work as I would like it?NO,Do you hit ipod and it come on ?NO do you hit EXT 1 and it work YES.Does pioneer even Acknowlege it work?NO. You cannot connect the stock Xm tuner to the avic,If you use the gmahl1 from peripheral it will retain the stock XM for the rear seat controls only on the newer IE 2007-present GMs. To tell if you have bose or non bose if you have tweeters on your A pillar usually its bose also Higher end gms With leather interiors and power options have the bose setup,and its displayed on the deck on older gms as well

you cant reconect your stock 6 disc to the pioneer unit.and as far as i know there isnt any company or way to interface the two units, sorry to say your changer is dead

most of the chevy interfaces that allow install and retain onstar will disconnect the Acc wire when onstar is active and then turn on the acc wire when onstar is off. So yes its normal that your radio will shut off

where did you connect the white wire?also what mode is the unit set to?have you fully cleared out the units preset memory? Again as previously stated,95%of the problems are user and installer error,very rare that one of these is bad out the box.

ok if removing 4 bolts running new wires taping into a fuse panel is easier than a 30 second relay install is easier then by all means go that route. And with the relay you still keep everything as it shoud be and retain the acc function and RAP.But what do i know what works for you works.Ide just keep it simple

sounds as if you may have to custom install the deck into the dash opening but your Sw control will work just fine.You can go to pac's website and see the install instructions. The old version should be fine i cant see the new version being any help on that car being that its worked just fine in the past and all the new revisions are for the newer canbus equiped vehicles

all depends on how the remote starter is set up.Some cars and trucks require that the Accesory wires from the ignition switch be powered up during remote start.Some cars use the accesory circut to power the eletric fans or even the A/C compressor and thoes are things needed when you want your vehicle cooled while under remote start control. Again its a vehicle specific or even installer specific issue.My posted soloution will fix your problem

500 is just nav and bluetooth,has no stereo functions at all 700 has cd and stereo functions as well as Ipod and Cd changer/xm/sirius IE JUST LIKE A FULL FUNCTION STEREO. But has no DVD playback. 900 Has all Headunit functions AND DVD. Go to pioneers website and u can compare the 3 different models

Hello mario one of the questions i would have as far as factory bluetooth retention On the 09 GMT900s.How would the new swi PS interface that side And also allow the avic or any other Bluetooth enabled Pioneer to do the controling of bluetooth Phone operations ?Because one of the reasons ide buy or install a avic 700/900 would be the intergrated bluetooth and phone contact ability. If i were using a non bluetooth HU i can see the benifit of Keeping the factory BT in effect. Or will there be a way to switch the factory BT off ?

dr paul what kind of car are you installing the Steering wheel control in? In most cases ive seen no serious if any issues in regards to the swi PS. I know theres alot of complaints about functionality here on this site,But i cant recreate them and actually ive seen that alot of the issues are Honestly Installer or programming issues. Perhaps i can ease your fears

read my reply to this thread and it will explain how to isolate your starting circut from the remote start unit. I have done this fix a bunch of times on gas and all diesel trucks and its a perfect fix. Perhaps we can get a Forum mod to sticky this fix for future reference ?

it depends on your vehicle,If you have a car that needs all the Accesorys powered up "Ie some chevys and fords" Have your installer isolate the 12v turn on wire to your stereo using a relay and have them use the ground when running wire off there remote start unit to kill the turn on wire to the stereo,That way when you use your key the stereo will turn on as usual but not be on when the truck is in remote start control Easy way to do it use a standard 5 position relay 87a- car side of 12v turn on wire to stereo "Ie RED WIRE or switched wire. 30 Avic side of 12 v switched "red wire"

ide look at a fuse or also ask if you used the correct Can bus harness to install your avic.It has been known to affect lock and unlock due to incorrect connection

what kind of vehicle are you working on ?Year make and model usually will help with any kind of diagonsis

next to your eject button to its left is a small detent,use a pen and press it down along with the eject button at the same time for 5 seconds. then release and let your 900 reboot. After the reboot all your settings are erased so you need to set all your presets ETC.make sure to turn on your ipod as well if you have it connected in your settings menu.
