  1. That doesn't really surprise me. I'm guessing their technicians are no better than the ones employed at Future Shop or Best Buy. lol I have a backup camera and have had no major issues. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Appradio has the brightness turned WAY up on the camera by default. It's great at night, but during the day it washes out a lot of the picture.
  2. Gotta be honest jerk, all you've done is whine and complain without being clear about what your problems are. People try to help you and you go off the deep end. I'm trying to help you and I don't expect you to be an ass about it. Edit: And honestly, why do you expect Pioneer to fix something that's obviously broken by Motorola? I have Android 4.04 on BOTH of my Samsung phones and I'm not having the issues that you ranted about in your other thread. Other people are running 4.04 as well without those issues. Your issue here seems to be with Motorola. Have you tried contacting them?
  3. Ground the wire and put a toggle switch in as an alternate solution.
  4. If anyone stole one of these radios they'd probably return it with a bill for the inconvenience that it caused them. lol
  5. Yup. The Skyrocket works just fine. I'm using an MHL adapter/HDMI cable that I purchased rather than using the Android kit. The Skyrocket seems to be a better fit for the AppRadio if you keep it running Gingerbread, but it still works well with ICS.
  6. No they are not. They have different basebands which make the radios act differently for each carrier. They're all running different kernels as well. AT&T has locked their baseband so that you can't use a Rogers radio file on their phones, but Rogers hasn't done so and I can use an AT&T radio file on mine. There are hardware differences between the Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile phones as well. I'm 90% sure that that AT&T and T-Mobile phones are hardware similar, but Verizon is VERY different since it supports CDMA. Sprint is very different as well since they have
  7. I get the bluetooth prompt about 30 seconds in. I'm annoyed that I get a prompt at all though, as the phone should be able to see the AppRadio as a trusted device and automatically allow a connection every time. Yes it's retarded that you need to switch the app to change the song. They should have a motion programmed for skipping tracks at the very least. I don't have an issue with the sound on mine. Check your source material. If you're streaming from the internet make sure you're not on a low bandwidth setting. If you're playing MP3's make sure they have a high bitrate. AppR
  8. Yup. You either actually need to tie in the to parking brake, or you need a proper bypass. If you cut the wire you can add a toggle switch into it as a bypass. I'm waiting for my TR7 to come in so that I can have an automatic bypass going.
  9. I can't guarantee it, but it seems to me like the issue of tasker being too slow to click ok might have to do with the firmware on the phone. I'm running the Rogers firmware and it's too slow. The guy that showed us how to do the tasker task is probably using an AT&T version. This is one reason why I've tried the updated kernel. I haven't really played with it since doing the update though.
  10. All you need to do is use a USB key and download the update from Pioneer's website. It'll be quicker than taking it to Visions.
  11. Hmmm.. I've heard nothing from Best Buy about a recall for a firmware update. I've already got the latest firmware anyway.
  12. Yup. I have the same problem. I'm trying a different kernel right now to see if that changes anything. Which carrier are you with?
  13. You need to go into the accessibility options and turn on the Tasker service so that Tasker knows when the prompt comes up.
  14. Every device that I've connected my phones to that has a PIN other than 0000 has this issue.
  15. That still doesn't explain why Bluetooth works perfectly fine when I have Android 2.3.5 on the S2 LTE.
  16. I have already explained my experience in other threads, but: Two phones: Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE, Samsung Galaxy S3 OS on both phones: Android 4.04 Update was done automatically as per my settings in the Play store. White dots happened with both phones on initial pairing. 5 digit PIN comes up EVERY time the radio tries to pair with the phone. I've paired it once and it will pair every time after I click ok on the bluetooth pin prompt. Happens every time I start the car. I believe the issue is that either Android 4.04 or Samsung's iteration of if does not have the
  17. The only thing I've noticed that's different with the app update is that my phone no longer tries to force Japanese on me through the app. lol
  18. Sorry, I'm not an iphone user, but I'll try and help. Your first question: From what I've seen you can only mix AM/FM with advanced app mode. It's stupid, but that's what I see. I can't comment specifically on Pandora since I'm in Canada and Pandora is too cheap to pay licencing fees even though their competitors will. For your second question: That sounds like it isn't working correctly. I can use Waze for navigation on my Android phone and I don't need to bypass or use the parking brake for it to display. Is your iPhone in landscape mode while in the app?
  19. Just do me a favour. Document exactly what steps you take to connect everything via Bluetooth and let me know if you have the issue I experience. Maybe there's a way around it that I haven't found yet.
  20. It's a bug in Android though. The way they can sidestep the bug is by allowing the radio to attempt the connection for a longer period of time. At least when they do that a person can get Tasker to click OK to accept the connection before the prompt disappears.
  21. On some devices, notably my Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2 LTE, plus one other person's Droid, all running Android 4.04, Bluetooth has issues connecting to the AppRadio when you start your car, prompting you to allow it every time. I think this is a bug in Android more than in the AppRadio though. I have had a couple of issue where the AppRadio shows it's saved devices in Bluetooth as 3 devices all named G5: and won't connect. A restart fixes that usually. Once I had to do a factory reset.
  22. From what I can tell, this is an Android ICS bug. Happens on my Galaxy S2 LTE and my Galaxy S3. The stupid Bluetooth pairing request comes up and you have to click OK within about 2 seconds or it disappears. I have one other Bluetooth device in my car where it prompts me to connect every time even though the pin is the same (1234) every time. The phone should automatically save that and it doesn't.
  23. Believe it or not, Tasker is a fraction of a second too slow to hit OK. The connection fails every time. Grrrrr!
  24. Alright, I've copied this. I'll find out later how well it works. I have another BlueTooth prompt I have to work on for my Elm327 Bluetooth adapter. Thanks again for the tip!
