Did it over again and it worked fine, so I think you're right-- syntax error somewhere. In any case, whenever I drag around the map, the 3d car stays with me. Normally you could drag around and the cursor would stay in place. Is this because this is just a static image placed in that location now?

Yes-- pretty much. To put it in most simple terms, I ONLY want the button to be shown when there IS a route and when mute IS on. The question that I was unsure about was, if the button is not set to visible, can I still touch where it would have been? So maybe I wouldn't want to HIDE the button, but switch to an empty button that is still pressable when there is a route. Pretty much, the only time I want to see the button is if the mute IS on, which also requires there to be a route. Then, unmuting the voice would hide the button.

Tried searching around, couldn't find anything on this. I want to delete only one single favorite, but the menu only has "Clear All". Perhaps you can't do it through the main GUI, but I'm sure there is a subdirectory that contains your favorites in it, along with lat/long? Does anyone know of a way to remove them, either one of those ways? Appreciated.

Trying to read through, but pretty confused. I want to replace my 3D icon.. looks like it's a .mdl file? How can I get my bmp to replace the 3D icon?

Beautiful job, love it. One personal tweak, and the creator of this might be able to help me out-- Is there a way I could hide that button(like it is when there is no route), when the volume is -not- muted. But be able to still touch that same area and then the button appears. What I'm trying to do is avoid screen clutter, but I'm not sure if a button has a variable like isVisible or something. Though I'd like to have it on the screen when the volume is muted. Either way, great job!

Oh really? So you're saying there would be an "all" button on the bottom that would return all based on the category you're in? That would be great, and save me from having to create a whole new group and duplicate all of the POI's.

Personally I'd like to select a category that will just list all restaurants without having to go into search or into search criteria. In any case, how are the POI's stored on the unit? Will I be able to add my own to a group of my own easily?

Ah, I get what you guys mean. I am aware of that 'trick', but instead of going into search you could just select the category and they could all come up for you.

So 128 reflects 80Mph? That's what I was thinking... But it's just a warning, all I have to do is press OK? Is that what it would have done above 10 MPH normally?

But can you do just a general search? Perhaps by leaving the criteria blank? Then you would pull it up?

I grounded my parking break and did the software bypass, but on two occasions(both noticed when I was going 80 on the highway)... I am getting an error that says something like: Improper parking break lead detected. Please consult the manual... Has anyone else got this? Why dose this come up? Does this have something to do with speed?

Certainly sounds doable. I'm not sure how easy it would be to add this to that menu though. I know people customize the navi screen all the time, and that would certainly be easy. Another thing you might do is hold down the map button, which brings up screen brightness immediately.. then you could turn that all the way down to lower the brightness. Or you may even find a way to program that holding in the map button automatically shuts off the screen.

By default, when you search for a restaurant you have to specify a type(American, Barbecue, Chinese). These categories are held inside the sub-ground "Other/Restaurant Area". By default, you are unable to search for all restaurant types unless you specify which style of food you are looking for. However, if you make a new group inside "Restaurant" alongside "Other/Restaurant Area" and name it something like "All Restaurants" and place all the POIs in that category, I believe that will allow you to search for any style of restaurant close by. Guys-- I'm pretty sure I know what that icon is. This is NOT because Pioneer screwed something up in 2.0, and there is nothing random about these icons. I'm almost positive it's the same icon that was previously represented as the blue boxes with 3 squares in them. So what are those for? They are shown when you are zoomed out a bit and there are MULTIPLE POIs in the same location. Whoever made this zip file very likely replaced those blue squares with this red diamond image. Go find one, and then zoom in further-- I bet it will go away.

Like you said, Macs have some of the best TTS voices. And they are generally very powerful, so I would indeed believe it takes alot to sound that natural.

I think I prefer Jason over TTS. Though Samantha will always be used for VR. Do the updates for her TTS have any effect on the VR? Looks like most of the updates just correct her English for navigation.

So I tried out Samantha today. I can understand the horrible quality people were talking about. To my knowledge, TTS voices are used if you want to hear the road and highway names versus someone like Jason which sounds more natural, but has less details?
