  1. Payment sent ($22). Looking forward to it - thanks!!!!
  2. OK - this may be obvious or stupid, but I'm trying to figure out which Given the sometimes quirkiness of our WinCE-based units, would a voltage stabilizer maybe reduce random reboot (I'm talking about the occasional reboot - not the continual reboots, which are a different problem)? Considering this: "The function is to stabilize or filter an AC voltage from the alternator to get a clean DC voltage. A clean DC voltage is required for electronic equipment to operates in optimum condition." Apparently, a voltage stabilizer can "smooth out" voltage - it's basically a capacitor setu
  3. Yep - E46 install is fairly involved (climate control relocation, cutting of air box and modding lower vent control lever, fabbing a mounting tray (or buying a kit), custom bezel...). Worth it, though!
  4. I sent mine in for the same reason and had it back 10 days after I sent it in. It runs perfectly now. Meanwhile, I now have things BACKED UP too - LOL.

  6. Very nice. How's the SQ? I'm all for a clean front stage, but for non-comp and movies considered I enjoy a little rear fill (movies sound awesome on my stock system - after my install I prolly wasted 45 minutes getting caught up watching my test movie!). I'm looking at a very similar setup for my trunk - it's going to be either that or with the sub "backed into" a ski pass cutout my BMW has behind the rear seat - still contemplating... Again, nicely done! One last word - microfiber
  7. It was actually about $30 with a $10 mail-in rebate. I suck at mailing in rebates so I passed
  8. Really? wow that's fast. Do you have the link where that was mentioned? I'll try and find it - it had something to do about Navteq updating then...
  9. I remember reading somewhere of an update coming in April...
  10. ^werd I changed mine to 256.0 and things work perfectly. btw, 256 kph = 159 mph so I think I'll be good. If I go over 159 mph I hope my ticket is ONLY for operating the DVD
  11. Just want to mod the knob so it feels better. Seems reasonable to me.
  12. FYI, I bought my 90 on eBay and had no problem getting warranty service. I didn't ask customer service - I just sent it in with a letter telling them what I needed (reflash in my case), included a copy of my PayPal receipt and got the unit back via UPS (they even paid the postage, had repacked it and even did the 2.0 upgrade) about 10 days after I sent it... This was about a month ago...
  13. Great stuff - now I know what I'm going to do this weekend...
  14. Too long since the last BUMP
  15. You'll need at least a 2GB card to back up - the files are about 1.64GB if I remember correctly...
  16. In aviation, it's called a "glass cockpit" - awesome stuff... Then again, I still like analog when it comes to seeing my tach swing hard to the right
  17. Let us know if/how you take the frame off - I'd like to scuff it and paint it matte black (TIRED of smudges!)... Good luck!
  18. Yeah, that looks like it WOULD work - I didn't see anything like that at Home Depot - there were hose washers all right, but they all were red/pink... I guess I'll check out Lowe's and Target, etc. too
  19. Would it be possible to get the second one using a Suzuki emblem? Thanks! Something like this? Perfect! Thanks AZ!! No problem - I have a soft spot in my heart for Suzuki's - raced 'em (motocross) a long time ago...
  20. If anyone has any luck at Home Depot (or anyone else), lemme know - I tried and could only find round washers that might fit (and would not work). I did check out flat washers in plumbing and hose washers, but nothing that looked like it would work. Except for hose washers in hoses and connectors - but I didn't want to steal one - lol - fearing bad karma and being cursed with missing parts on everything I buy from now on - hahahaha...
  21. 7zip is great for Windows users (or emulators!) - added to my sig - lol

  23. Awesome! I'm going to stop by Home Depot on the way home from work tomorrow just to check out rubber washers But, do you have to remove the knob to install the washer? Seems like one could just apply it...
  24. 7-Zip is a great recommendation, too (for Windows users - although I don't think it can help our Mac or Linux brethren; WinRAR works across all platforms). 7-Zip is indeed free (and open-source). Find it here: http://www.7zip.com/
