There are other interfaces out there do a google search and check carefully. peripheral works but its expensive and unclean.

That sounds like the way to go. The peripheral interface is not good in my opinion. It works but I would not recommend it...

Paisan, This is a great service you offer. When I get the disc's Im Jersey. Should I just install the east coast disc in my D2 and let it ride. Like I did with my original east coast disc? Just leave it in the drive B Thanks W Page

Its a good unit. Trouble is after the adapting/interfacing and cost its a let down to have old map datum. With no going forward plan from Pioneer support.

Anlother big advantage of the adjunt is portability. When I take the other car the avic cannot be pulled to go!

Had it with The D2 poor FM reception, dated GPS data and failed documentation. Next vehicle buying the Garmin adjunct! Pioneer sucks!!

Amen to Garmin. Use it in my boat and get email updates and firmware links for free updates. Next Vehicle skipping all this Pioneer BS and getting a Garmin Adjunt. Plug in Cig Lighter done! No dated S/W rip offs

When pulling my GM unit reception and sound quality dropped significantly. Needed a extension to reach and adapt plug. Pioneer is at a loss to help.
