    Apple Theme

Well I didn't mean to replicate it exactly, just do something close to that to fit in with the rest.
  2. There are Dynamic Volume settings but they only pertain to nav voice level My OEM setup does this and I hate it. It's a huge pain in the ass to remove so I deal with it.

Well since you are going with Apple there why not use something from OS X.
  4. Have you checked msndirect.com to make sure those services are available in your area?
  5. Depending on the price I would not have a problem paying for an upgrade. Apple did the same for iPods and v2. I know there are problems but they could just say buy the new unit and you will have the new software. It's better than nothing.
  6. Yes, please post more details. I never start my car until fuel pump is done priming so this makes the Avic reboot.
  7. Sorry I meant BT on the iPhone doens't work at all. I can't pair it with anything. Not even my iMac which Avic seems to pick up from the garage It's all good. I don't use the phone in the car unless absolutely necessary anyway. I've tried my lady's iPhone and it works so it's not the unit. Oh, how is the crosshair fixable? I didn't see that.
  8. I don't use BT for the phone because it doens't work on my iPhone. At any rate, now I see what you were complaining about and how the crosshairs can drive you mad. I didn't understand it before since I never ran into it.
  9. Not really but this is pretty funny. Were they talking about Avic? http://www.theonion.com/content/video/s ... d_piece_of NOTE: Explicit language so put headphone on if you are at work.
  10. The thing is that I did not touch or do anything with the unit. Like I said I was on the phone plus driving manual so I had no hands left
  11. This is not post to complain about it and was unable to replicate it since but yesterday on my way home I was checking out smart zoom (I never use it) and after the light turned green I noticed that the map is slightly zoomed out, more than usual and it was not moving with me but the arrow kept going So I kept watching it and the map would zoom out where needed to keep the arrow on the screen and the arrow just kept going and it was correct and represented my true location. I was on the phone at the time so couldn't take a photo. After I pushed Map button it reset itself and it was OK from
  12. I've only removed the headliner on a B5 S4 and that was a pain. The fabric that covers is looks good but it's very fragile and easy to leave your hand impressions on it and get the fabric wrinkled. Not worth it if you ask me. I have B6 S4 now and my GPS antenna is in the glow box and in the GPS info screen it says High accuracy which is good enough for me
  13. Some of you bastards get so lucky with having a perfect fitting dash. That looks AWESOME. That's a OEM fit wight there. Did you make that trim yourself? I need to modify my to make it decent looking.
  14. Have you tried it yet? If I remember to try after work I will and see what happens
  15. Did you follow the procedure we left for you in your old thread? Yellow -> Constant 12V Red -> Acc
  16. Which version of iGo did this come from? I believe in the latest (8.3?) 2D North up has been fixed.
  17. All I wanted was true iPod control and navi and both of those things work really well. I would never use 2D mode so that's not a problem for me. Same goes for BT and VR so I'm pleased with the 90. Boot times could be better but seriously that is not an issue as everyone makes it to be. can't wait 30 seconds?
  18. What exactly does this do?
  19. For the 2D issue why can't you just tilt 3D map to get the top view?
  20. I would absolutely switch to the theme phpBB provides. it just always works better than the ones someone else made. I've used xand in the past and discovered that it was causing issues with slowness and not posting properly. There was always something that it was not doing right. I've also been using phpBB3 since the first RC and I love it. They've improved and streamlined a lot things. I look forward to the change. ON the side note, I'm getting ready to switch the forums to phpBB3 on our car site as well.
  21. I'm sure this is going to get wide range of answers but for me the best and non destructive way is to use damp microfiber towel and gently clean the screen and while it's still wet use a dry one to dry the screen. Since you are not cleaning the actual LCD but rather touchscreen glass I don't think you can do much damage but if you do use products with alcohol it might permanently streak it. I've seen people do this on our old $25K imaging monitors
  22. That should not matter in this case since it doesn't look like he hooked up the parking brake at all. No offense OP but "problems" you are listing are quite possibly all operator errors. First you have to address the parking brake issue by properly connecting the wire to the parking brake switch or doing the bypass which is a lot easier then focus on your other issues. Have you paired your phone first before trying to use it?
