For some reason the map now always loads to 2D, regardless of the fact that I never used 2D and hence leave it in 3D all the time. I dont see why it would have any impact, but I moved the 2D/3D button up to the compass. I only changed the image file link and they x and y values. Any ideas?

Im glad to be back. I definitely need to make some updates to the setup Ive been using. Maybe Im just blind from over activity in the real world, but I cant seem to find the scripting to open the TC screen. I really have no interest in having the boxes on the bottom of the screen so those Ill cut out. In the meantime Ive been trying to convince the compass (standard) to be the 2D/3D button to open that spot up for my yet unmade TC button. For the longest time the damn thing would only go from 3D to 2D but never back.

This is quite impressive. If I can find a place out of the way on my nav screen to put a button for this I will absolutely add this to my unit

I think he could mean the unit's knob? But it already does next/previous. I would personally love to see it able to be used for up/down on the menus

There is no "play song X" feature mentioned anywhere in the manual. It is not a feature. There is however "play songs" which plays all songs starting from the top of the Songs list. The list of audio playback voice controls is on page 149

The problem with "play song" is that there are so many songs of the same name by different artists. For example I have: 2 Angels 2 Beautiful Disaster 2 Believe 3 Better Days 2 Boston 2 Breakdown 2 Brown Eyed Girl (cover and original though they may be, theyre very different versions) 3 Change Your Mind 2 Dont Stop 2 Down 2 Everywhere 2 Fallen ....... Im sure by now you get the point. Songs also frequently have unpronounceable or difficult names. Still a feature that I would love however

The reason CC went under is the very top management was selfish and greedy. There is no other reason. This is fact. Had they closed the stores that were closed in November back when they first knew they couldnt hold on to them (3 years ago), the company would not be in this situation. Any stores that were unpleasant in appearance were lower volume stores that would have received additional funding re-allocated from the closed stores and would be as nice inside as the top selling stores. Guys, brains. The liquidators did not mark up the prices. Every single item in the store is a percentage off of the original CC price. What you all seem to miss out on is the fact that 99% of the time every item in CC is on a sale of some sort, which is why you all think the prices have been jacked. Again, the discounts are off of the ORIGINAL prices, not CC's sales as of the beginning of liquidation. The 900 has always retailed at $1099.99. Due to the Circuit City one price promise I can guarantee this as fact. In fact, just about a month ago they were regularly $1199.99 As for Wiis:

The first time I used the nav system was on a route that I knew well thanks to google. It tried to send me, as said before, off the main road, onto a parallel road (for about a block), then back on the main road entirely for no reason. As for the systems, theyre set logically, and nothing much changes when I adjust them. This usually happens from one main suburban road to another suburban road. Whatever. Technology isnt perfect.

I usually do use google. But now that I have the damn system, Id much rather use that and save the googling time and paper.

As much as I love my AVIC, the damn thing pisses me off to no end. It refuses to give me simple directions. For whatever damn reason, it loves to send me along a road, turn me off, send me along a parallel road, then put me back on the original road. It not only takes more time, but its a longer distance. It does this all the damn time. Like today, when I was double checking a location for something that was just further down the road I was already on, it tried to make me get off the road and run a 2 mile longer course. Read for my amazing idea? Get one of those no-slip pads and keep the stylus on top of the dash/wherever. Ok, I realize its not that amazing, but it works for me.

Why dont you just combine the mods you like and make your own? I promise youll like it better

Not that Im bashing, though its far from my personal tastes, but what is it with everyone using the same basic splash and adding their own car-specific detail? And all the "navigation system loading" on all of them as well.
