i installed mine on a f150 too so i know what im talking about. the pink connector that comes with it has two slots for two wires. the slot that is open on both sides is the side the vss wire goes in. the one that is closed on one side is for the wire from the headunit. you put the two wires in and close the clip around them. it pinches them down into the metal therefore joining them. You could pull it out but it is much messier.

Has anyone done this? Maybe somehow mod it to go through ipod cable? Reason for this, ipod is alot more than a portable hard drive.

it wasnt that bad. Did it in my 2004+ f150 and it only took me two tries.

It is a 2004+ f150 supercrew lariat with audiophile speakers. I have adjusted the eq and this made it better, but it is still bad.

So i installed the d3 and now the sound quality is not so good at high volume. Is this because the stock speakers cant handle the increased power? I tried to eliminate all bass going to those speakers but that didnt help much. Should i just buy new speakers?

How can this be done? I looked in manual and everything. I'm talking about anything from when you turn up the volume to when you select a menu there is a beep. it is very annoying. how can i turn it off

I'm pretty sure they do not. I have the audiophile in my f-150 and it did not. Just go to crutchfield and enter your vehicle. They will tell you what adapters you need, what you will lose and everything.

i get mine on tuesday. all you have to do is change mute to slot above it and ground parking break wire right?

not many people can rip off the code a dvd. Not to mention even fewer people can recode it. I can code programs, have made a few programs for my work, and games, but dont know how to rip code off the dvd. What problem are you looking to fix anyway

misfit are you saying that the one they ship for the f150 from crutchfield isnt good?

i cant believe they said it has no function. look at the promo on their site! it clearly shows them saying it does. this better work for me or i will be pissed.
