  1. I'm not missing anything. I'm smart enough to know that when the CP firmware is released, it will be plastered all over the opening page of the Pioneer car audio site. And if that isn't enough, this site will explode with about 10 or so threads created by noobs all saying the same thing: "oh my god, the car play firmware has been released" of course nine of those threads I'll have to delete simply to reduce redundancy. So, I assure you, if the CP firmware was available, you would know it.
  2. It's not. A search in the unit section of the Pioneer site will prove that.
  3. Why does it matter what number they give it? We already know the next firmware will be CP so that's all that matters.
  4. I think if we do see any type of announcement to a larger group of third party app devs it will likely be at WWDC 2015 or the next big iOS announcement. Car Play would have been up and running long enough and be successful enough for Apple to expand further. We shall see. For now though I just want them to get it out already.
  5. I certainly hope Waze comes to CP. I messaged them on thier FB page and they said there are currently no plans to bring Waze to CP. A standard response of course.
  6. Keep in mind that once Car Play arrives you likely aren't going to be able to use both CP and AM. Differences in interfaces will force you to choose. Although I would certainly like to have Waze and Car Play, I will not be wasting my time with AM once CP arrives and finally allows the experience we were allways suppose to have with AM in the first place.
  7. That question is for another forum.
  8. And dont worry about the parking brake wire at all. It has no affect on the bypass.
  9. Grounding the wire will do nothing for you. Refer to my last response.
  10. 3. Perform the proper bypass detailed on this forum.
  11. The 5000 does not have HDMI which is required for most if not all Android devices.
  12. Ok guys do I need to start locking every Car Play releated thread? Lets all remember we're adults here.
  13. The 5000 is iPhone only and likely will not change due to price point. The 6000 would be the lowest unit for Android compatibility.
  14. Take it with a grain of salt.
  15. And this should be taken with a grain of salt. It probably will happen in July, but not because someone else says so. These articles have been published before only to be proven wrong when it didn't happen.
  16. You might want to check to see if the installer charged you for the bypass. If he did you should get a refund sense it was the wrong bypass proceeder and it didnt work.
  17. The proper way to connect a reverse/rear view camera is follows: red wire from camera to red wire from head unit. black wire from camera to black wire from head unit. rca wire from camera to rear view camera jack on head unit. (brown) reverse wire from head unit connected to back up light. This way you get full function of camera including the ability to view camera while driving. Connecting the red wire from the camera to the back up light will not offer you rear view
  18. I dont mean to be negative here to the OP and I certainly understand why this is frustrating but I can almost guarantee Pioneer wont fix this. Just dont want you to hold hope where there is none.
  19. So did ya get this fixed before going to another issue? I also see you created another thread asking the same question as what you started this thread for. That thread will be deleted.
  20. Also are you sure you have an authentic Apple AV adapter? If you paid half price or lower from eBay or Amazon I can almost guarantee you have a fake and if you do you will not get this working.
  21. Pull the parking brake.
