well then it sounds like you have not done the bypass so you will have to put the ebrake on.

if you follow the illustrated instructions and remove and reinstall the wire properly there is a plastic tab that holds it in place.

sounds like the "secret" wire is loose or not seated properly in the connector, assuming it is in the right slot.

as long as you are in there remove it, but it won't hurt anything to leave it in place.

I did not have to notch the plate either. As far as Barney's I have purchased a couple more items from them never a problem. I use a couple of different cameras on my trucks I like the Boyo over them all. I bought an excellent plate cam from tillithz also works great.

I think that depends on the phone. I have a moto krzr and what ever ring tone I have set on it plays on the Z2.

you waited a 1:17 before getting anxious I like the Boyo it integrates into the vehicle better imo.

if it is hooked up to an avic Z1/2 the avic bypass is all you need these models I know for sure maybe the others (D & N series) as well.
