  1. looks good man, how do you like it so far?
  2. Here's what always works with my Fuze: 1. Delete any previous partnerships with the Pioneer. 2. Go into the Pioneer menu to activate "Initiate pairing from device" 3. Turn on BT on your TP and make sure it's set to "discoverable" 4. Complete the pairing process, and you should be prompted to allow access to your phone book...click yes. 5. Tap "phone book transfer" in the Pioneer menu. Go through the screens and select ok to start the process. This usually takes 5 minutes for my 200 numbers. 6. If your aren't promted to allow access to your phone book, or if you are but you still can'
  3. Thanks for the comments guys! The tv reception varies as to how strong the signal is in my current area. For example sometimes it cuts out at 5mph and other times as fast as 30mph. I only get about 6 digital channels in my area until June...then there should be more options. Some people in major cities report 20 to 30 channels. I used to have an analog tv tuner in a previous install (2004 Nissan SE-R Spec V) and it would get excellent reception while in motion and even SOME kind of reception on even the weakest signals. Now with the digital channels, if you are moving very much you do
  4. I just posted a full write-up with tons of pics of my F700 and Artec tv tuner install, head over and take a peek: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=23833
  5. Here's a few screen shots of the F700 in action... Splash I have done some mods to my F700 so the screens are a bit different. This nav screen has a different icon layout and shows countours of the mountains around me. Main menu Connecting my Fuze via the video out cable Fuze connected and cradled...ready for action! The next few pics show off the HTC Touch Flo interface. I have a custom operating system on my phone that's been ripped from the soon-to-be-released TouchPro2, and tweaked for the Fuze. TouchFlo is displayed in landscape no
  6. So I finally finished installing my F700BT with Artec T3AP Pro. I previously had a Pioneer single din cd player equipped with bluetooth audio streaming, a feature I DEARLY miss on my F700, but wanted a double din touchscreen for more media options. Comp-u-plus was selling brand-new F700bt's for $376 shipped so I jumped on it! I'll describe the install with the following pics... Here's the dtv tuner. It was shipped free with the government coupon. Very small and has lots of functions. I wanted to make this a mostly-stealth install so hiding the unit in my Xterra's second glovebox meant m
  7. This is looking AMAZING! Gonna go flash it right now. Wish I could help but don't know anything about programming.
  8. Nice find! But it's out of stock. This is the type of cam I want to install for my F700
  9. Sup everybody. Found a great deal for a free 12 volt dtv tuner. Someone posted the link for it above, but I found this store has it for free now with the coupon. Go to http://www.freetvsignal.com and look for the Artec T3AP Pro. Very small and has analog pass through. I just ordered mine and it was free, including shipping, with a coupon. Today I went to Kmart after reading some positve reviews about the Zenith dtv tuner. It was a nice unit, somewhat larger than the Artec seems to be. Connected to a simple UHF/VHF un-powered antenna. The problem I had was with power supply. I first used a
  10. Looks great! Always makes you feel good to do your own work and overcome installation challenges
  11. Car radio antenna doesn't have the correct type of connection (co-ax). You'd have to find a splitter to allow your car antenna to connect to the back of the AVIC and to the tv tuner. As far as I know they don't make those.
  12. I wish we could enable A2DP streaming over bluetooth. My last pioneer (single din, non-touchscreen) had that great feature. Surely someone can create a key generator for the new maps. I'll gladly donate some $ to that cause. Anyway if not...then we can use leetlauncher's program to run other software like TomTom with newest maps. I have found the newest versions (v7 and v8) of TomTom maps at ppcwarez.com.
  13. Looks great bro! I like the carbon trim pieces, everything fits together very good.
  14. It should be possible to disassemble the tuner box and remove the IR sensor. Then just solder in some longer wires for it and mount the sensor anywhere in your car. That way the tuner box can be mounted under a backseat or in the trunk. If your antenna is flat enough try mounting it on your rear deck where it meets the bottom of your back window. The defroster elements could interfere, but should be better reception than in your trunk. I'm REALLY looking forward to doing this install!! Come on coupons!
  15. My F700 reads my 8gb usb flash drive just fine. I'd like to connect a 250gb portable hard drive, but need to find someone that has one to test before I go out and spend more money
  16. Nice thread! I just applied for a converter box coupon, said it will mail out on 4/3. I like the stealth antenna and would like to mount it under the safari basket of my Xterra. Wonder if it would hold up to the elements? I'm also gonna need a three-way splitter for A/V inputs. #1 for this converter box, #2 for the video out cable from my HTC Fuze, and #3 for iPod connection. All these will go into A/V 1 in the back of the unit because I don't something always plugged into A/V 2 on the front. I assume when I select A/V 1 intput as a source it will take whichever input out of those 3 is sup
  17. Hi! I ordered my F700BT last week and will be installing when it arrives tomorrow You will need the installation scosche trim piece, as you mentioned....plus: Wiring harness specific to your Mazda to connect the F700 with your OEM wires. Steering wheel control is a separate unit I believe. Google 'PAC audio adapters' and search for your application. Pioneer might make one specific for this purpose, but I know PAC makes nice products for these applications. Bluetooth is built-in. Nice feature, it's an extra cost of up to $200 for other branded double dins. If you have an iP
