1. Here's a few shots of my install. I have to find a good location for the sat and nav antennas because my reflective tint is blocking signal. Had to tuck at front of dash pn passenger side. Trying behind A-pillar this weekend. Anyway, the pics. Mic location: As mentioned - antennas: Boyo VTL300 for back up camera: Amps flushed in trunk - no pics of subs, but there's (2) 10" JL 10w7's
2. Believe it or not the antenna adapter is the universal chrysler part. Can be found at any of the local audio stores inclusive of best-rip off-buy. Know nothing about the FORDAH. I just used the standard metra harness, wired in the 5v regulator and done. Takes all of 15 minutes to complete. I'm sure Peripheral is going to request you pay with a limb for that connectivity.
3. Josh, your having trouble with the programming on the steering controls because the steering wheel interface wire cannot be connected up off the interface module wiring. You absolutely have to use the switched steering wheel wiring off the BCM. I have total functionality in mine, I had heard about the programming issue prior to my instal in my 07 Avalanche and went to the BCM and it works like a charm.

Bad business

I too had a great experience with 6th ave. Every rep I spoke with while digging for the best deal was nice and very helpful. I come from a customer service back ground so it takes a lot to get me to speak positively in this area. As mentioned above I too was offered the extended warranties and declined them. Item arrived very quickly and in superb condition. Seems my experience is the exact opposite of the majority here.
5. at least till the stock of pre July units runs dry right? Good work on this, while I have a pre july unit and your bypass, I see your a stand up guy for many things you have said. You didn't have to find the fix on the post july units and it's plain honerable that you did. Not to mention it's free... Great find Ducati. I know many people will be thanking you for it, maybe not the folks that have been trading units in and out to get a pre july. At least that frustration can stop now..
6.
Wow thanks a lot for the quick response Ducati. I will be placing an order for your circuit probably within the next 2 weeks or so, so I appreciate that. Something that I guess always scares me about HU installation is breaking the clips that hold everything together. I broke a few in my old truck, a 1996 GMC Sierra. I was able to install door speakers, an amp and subwoofers in that truck. I worry that if I pull something the wrong way, or if I attempt to pry a panel off that it will break and then Im stuck replacing a bezel or something. I've heard that there is m

nexusgroove You sound Like the 22 Year old POS Idiot that Killed My 18 Year old son on July 8th, He was only going 115 MPH and hit him from behind. But you go ahead and drive like that all you want Mabey you guys can be roomies in Prison. Now I am going to go try and comfort my sons 6 year old sister and 13 year old brother. I assume you don't have a mother or father to devistate with your fun driving ability that you so happily admit to being able to do. Ed Phillips
In respect to your loss, I’ll ignore
8. rapayn1, regarding the nav piece locking out. I'll give you an example of why it becomes annoying. Your pimpin down the road somewhere you don't know very well, and at 40 years old with a z-1 - you are pimpin my friend. You and your passenger decide your hungry and would like something to eat (not mcDonalds, a real sit down meal - something nice. Unfamiliar with the area, and not seeing anything of your taste on the present road, you could go into your trusty nav unit and find the cantena of which your taste buds are very interested in. Instead, because your nav unit is locked out, you
9. no nav discs required, Nav runs via the HDD. As to the trail blazer fit, I don't know that answer, but I bet you can find that out on the crutchfield web site.

Well to each their own, but we don't do it like that here in the Chicago race scene. Those of us that run, and run hard, let it be known we are comin. Apparently exactly the opposite of what you guys are doin down there. To run in stealth mode at those speads is far too dangerous, but I'm not gonna preach. I'm gonna let you have this one cause I just don't get it. I hope it all pans out and works the way you like. I also hope you don't go relying on just technology. Not only for your sake, but others as well.
11. Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated, as with the change to the newer units I was just being careful.
12. Do you have the flash mod? if so, did anyof this update seem to cause problems with the bypass or no?

I have to ask why, you would want to drive at 80mph with no lights nexus
14. Whats BS, my loading of my address book? No reason to BS anyone here, it's not like it gives me a leg up on people, just letting everyone know how the process went down for me. If you like I'll send you a video clip of the process. Gimme your cell number in a private message and I'll use my wifes phone to video clip the transfer of a address book entry from my phone to the avic in literally seconds. I'll then send you the clip from her phone and you'll understand and see exactly how it works for me.
15. My screen has never been hot to touch, not sure what to tell you there. Any screen with your face buried in it will have a very degraded appearance. it's no different than looking at the screen to far off to the side. Why can't you see that perfectly?
