Already done it. Mazda sell an adaptor cable thats connects the steering controls to the top display.

oh yes, that bloody calls list. Which muppet invented that having the oldest calls at the top and having to scroll down to get to the most recent.

Dont bother grounding it to the chassis, just connect it to the black gnd wire in the loom. As long as you done that for the green mute wire (having moved it in the connector) and the parking brake wire, it will work.

To be honest I found the Pioneer mic crap. Horrible design and everyone I spoke to complained about voice quality. So I bought a Parrot 3200 Mic from ebay, and it's 100% better.

The status is that there indeed are no preouts apart from sub on the EU version of the F700. Nor indeed is there voice control. In fact i'm gonna write a snotty email about all this, especially the pricing.

Brian 2008 maps will be the latest, 2009 will probably become available at the end of 2009 beginning 2010. Can I ask though where you got the update from and how did you install it as I have a UK F900 as well and would like to do this. Thanks Andy p.s what speed issues are you having trouble with?

Ok so i've made my pics, not exactly picasso but hey it's my first ever attempt lol, however how do I put them in the image.res file? I've extracted the image.res to the desktop and have copied the 2 files (using orignal names) over into the Common directory and overwritten the 2 files in there (normal and push). However when I rezipped it using Winrar the final image.res file is much larger than the original by about a meg. What settings should I use for zipping it back up, and is winrar ok to do that? Look at page 1 for the blue, and stick with the original blue not updated. Then for reddish... look at page 3. its a totally new look for your avic. the buttons are puffy out instead of caved in. Ok thanks, i'll give the blue theme a try tomorrow.

How can he turn off the AV source? He'd never hear the iphone music! What the OP needs to is to install the mute button mod. I had the same issue at the start, I turned the nav volume down to nothing but it was still cutting into my music. The mute button mod will actually turn off the nav voice but leave all other sounds, i.e speed cam active.

Will this theme work with the EU F900? Also reading through the thread i'm kinda confused what the latest version is and how it'll actually look. Could anyone help out with pics etc...? Thanks Andy

The PAC-SW-PS should do what you want. It's designed for the Pioneer, works great with my Mazda 6. If you goto Pacific Audios website you can check that it's compatible.

This is for the Uk, so it will be a digital freeview box.

I'm thinking about this for my next upgrade and whilst it's an easy install I was curious if anyone else has done it and what receiver/antenna they used. There are plently of receivers on ebay that are 12v, cheap ones are single antenna, more expensive are dual diversity. Again a few different antennas to choose from but what are good etc and what to avoid? WIth regards to connecting to the F900, I'm thinking that I will open the unit up and hardwire to the back of the front av input (I have my ipod on the rear). That way I wont have to switch between the 2, although you can't use both
