  1. Absolutely yes. I love mine (hacked of course). $200 is a great deal IMO.
  2. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=30481&p=213558&hilit=software+bypass#p213558 One is considered the software bypass, the other is considered the hardware bypass. Neither are "Official" and both methods accomplish the same thing. So why is one better off using the hardware bypass?
  3. Your parking brake wire is probably connected to the parking brake. You need to change that so it is connected to ground and you should be all set.
  4. This is the thread you need... viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17715
  5. The manual would be very helpful here as well. It describes exactly how to get those buttons to not be grayed out (turn off your audio source).
  6. Try downloading and installing the 3.0101 update for the X710bt from the pioneer website. It may fix your issue and if it does not you really have lost nothing but a small amount of time. For what it's worth after I used the official upgrade on my F700BT I had constant reboots (after a few minutes of sitting at the starting up screen) that were a result of the license file not being copied over from the SD cards. I also had no map or software version listed. I manually copied the license file from the SD to the AVIC and I did the 3.0101 upgrade and everything works great now. BTW...my official
  7. Your contacts are probably being loaded LASTNAME FIRSTNAME. Try saying the contact that way and see what happens. There are a couple of threads on here offering up software solutions so give the search function a shot (even though it does not work very well).
  8. My update went perfectly fine. Both SD cards installed with no errors. Took about 45 minutes. Yes, I have an F700BT. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it didn't happen. The point is, if people are having issues they should at least look into this as it made a huge improvement for me.
  9. For anyone that did the official 3.0 update.....Make sure you also do the update to the latest software version for the X series. This update fixed what the 3.0 update did not install properly. I realized the software was in an inconsistent state when there was no software version number under "Top Menu" -> "System Settings" -> "Version" After applying the X series upgrade the system works so much better!!!
  10. SD2 - LPUE080\APL2\iGo\license There is one license file that I had to transfer to the AVIC.
  11. I had the same problem. It turned out the license files never got copied onto the AVIC. I manually copied them from the SD card to the radio. I also realized that the upgrade was only partially complete even though the installer said everything completed just fine. So I ran the latest X Series upgrade (3.01010) and that seemed to get everything straightened out. Hope this helps.
  12. Ordered on 7/4 ... status says it shipped today 8/7.
  13. I have to make sure the ipod application is open when I plug in my jailbroken iPhone 3G. Works well for me.
  14. My iPhone 3G works perfectly with my 700 after modifying the phone book. Here is an example of what my database looks like inside... RecNo ID chShowName chPhoneCode dwType ----- -- ---------- ----------- ------ 1 1 Bob Smith 2015551212 1 2 2 Fred Jones 9145551212 1
