  1. I did it before. It Is easy installing the program, installing the maps is a bitch as I believe there was a problem with the registration. It was a headache. Tom-tom doesn't compare to the IiGo maps with mods installed anyways, I just tried it for the he'll of it
  2. Thank you JP! I received a huge promotion with the job that I was with for the last 12 years and this new position is taking up 75% of my time, so I have little time any more for modding. On top of that, they relocated me and the movers somehow, lost all my connections to my spare Avic (the one I use for modding by my desk), so now if I mod, I will have to run back and forth to my car, which I do not have time to do. Once I get everything back in order, I will be back !
  3. Why not just install either my V5 mod or Diaftia's mod. They both have the ability to permanently tilt the sky during 'smartzoom'. I am assuming that you are talking about 'smartzoom' as to tilt the sky manually, you just have to touch the screen and use the arrows to permanently tilt the sky if smartzoom is disabled. EDIT: WOW, I DID NOT REALIZE THAT THIS POST WAS 2 MONTHS OLD A IT WAS WITHIN THE TOP HEADINGS! I GUESS THINGS HAVE SLOWED DOWN HERE
  4. Sorry, obviously, I offended you! I did not mean to do that! I just wanted a quick rundown on what this was now cabable of doing. Nothing we are doing here is useless, but a means to get to a certain direction. I was just seeing how far we have gotten without reading 13 pages which I do not have time for. I will not post here any more in this thread! Sorry
  5. I am confused? What is the Nav software running in these units? I thought that all Pioneer systems had iGo?
  6. Damn, so basically, nothing is really hacked for modification. . If all the UI is hardcoded into the Avic, which is what was initially assessed, and I guess now proven, as we still cannot get into this interface for modding purposes, what is the purpose of this hack?
  7. Unfortunately due to a lot of changes in life, I have been away from the forums for a bit. Without going through all these pages, what does this hack actually do? Does it give the capability to add new maps, by placing new map files in a 'map folder'? Can you change features of the Nav system? Can you chnge the appearance of icons, backgrounds, etc.? Can you change the color of the basic Pioneer black, to something that would match your car? A simple 'yes/no' to these questions would be appreciative. Thanks
  8. Well, it doesn't look good , I extracted the files and there is no image file or nav file that I can find. The majority of the files in the APL folder are .dll files, nothing that is workable. Also, the size of the file is 66 mb, so there is no way that image files or map files ccan be found in there. Condiczek, are there any other files or folders in an offset location?
  9. This is amazing as the F30bt seems to be the european version of the Z120bt, so if we can get into the OS to mod it....... Wow, I am just thinking of the possibilities. I am looking forward to hearing about this! Condiczek, if you can some how make a backup of your drive and upload it with 4-shared, I would love to look at the file structure and see what can all be modded! GREAT WORK!!
  10. Hmmmm, weird! I have been looking for a calculator app since my version 3.0. I tried your 'calc.exe' file and it does not work. I just get a blank screen when I execute it.
  11. Where did you find the .cab files for the office viewers? I had a rough time trying to find .cab files that work with this version of CE
  12. Wow, this is a new one to me. Turn off your audible speedcam warnings in your settings and see if that solves your problem.
  13. Insert your SD card and delete your user data as you did in the instructions when you first installed this mod. The 3D cars section is not my mod, so I cannot account for every car working. replace it with a different car and try again.
  14. you have to click on the buttons 'init.' and 'scan' to scan the car list, I forget which order.
  15. So is my V5.0 ! That is why I tested it three months before posting it
  16. Did you use this technique with my schemes? My .ini of my schemes has the 'ui_igo8' location directed to the 'Data.zip', so I cant see how you can do this without getting error messages. I haven't tried your theory, but I will when I get back into town.
  17. Well, I can try to help you out on some topics 1-Mapswitcher - All navigation systems come with either Navteq maps or Teleatlas maps. Garmin relies on 'Navteq' whereas 'tomtom' maps are based on 'Teleatlas'. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Here in Canada, the Navteq maps were always better because Teleatlas always had missing streets, etc.. That however, has changed considerably with the latest updates as they are now pretty good. The mapswitcher function allows you to switch between these two mapping systems on the fly. The only disadvantage to doing this is, is that th
  18. You did something wrong! It should be aproximately 1.8 GB. You have to make sure that there is no interuptions during the copy process. I usually copy it on my way to work, which takes me an hour. This way, there is no interuptions and I dont have to have the car running for 30-45 minutes
  19. I have never tried that, but I dont think that would work as it is in a seperate location from the original. What you would have to do is incorporate the 'ui_igo8' folder into Diaftias 'Data.zip', then all should be good!
  20. Even if you do find the thread, I believe the links are dead.
  21. No, I dont believe that it is compatible with Diaftias mod, although, I havent tried it.
  22. That is something that I have never really thought about. I would imagine tht it would be in the 'COMMON/UI' folder. I dont understand why you would want to alter the 'distance scale' as there is nothing wrong with it and it works fine. If you found the 'sprite', then you should have the script of the 'Distance scale'. Just alter it to your liking.
  23. I have a 160gb ipod permanently attached to my Avic and it is ALWAYS recognized! I had a similar problem last year with my iphone which was fixed when I reflashed the firmware of the iphone. However, NO MOD will have an impact on the recognition of the ipod. That is through an entire different set of instructions, I would 1) Check your cables, maybe they need to be replaced. 2) Try restoring your ipod/iphone firmware. This worked for me, well, it was over a year ago, and now I have an ipod attached, but I have attached the iphone back the odd time and I had no connection problems
