  1. I beleive it is ARM, the manual says Centrality Titan 600Mhz (SiRF) the CPU core is ARM. Leetcoder has created leetlauncher which includes Coreplayer. I don't know if you could simply add the coreplayer app and launch it, I'd love to use that app as my media player since it can display album art for MP3's, whole lot cheaper than having to get an iPOD for that function.
  2. no special organization needed. just load them all on and follow the guide. only the factory 3.1 update needs to be on it's own
  3. Ok, I downloaded the files from the link in the install guide (not the torrent) loaded the CE update - successful reboot and copy over the "My Flash Disk" reboot again, the "Pioneer" boot screen comes up for about 10 seconds, then all goes black... I tried using the 3.1 update from Pioneer, but it does not work either, it just goes black screen again. Anyone know how to fix this ? OK, got it working. Made a really DUMB mistake. I copied the "My Flash Disk" folder into the "My Flash Disk" folder. Of course this will NEVER WORK!, you need to copy the contents of the "My Flash D

  5. Did the WinCE update with no errors at all on my F700. Reset with the same SD card and boot into testmode BUT it exits windows after about 6 seconds and the screen goes black. During those few seconds it works fine though. at this point the unit is useless it goes black after the pioneer bootup, did I brick this thing ? PLEASE HELP !
  6. Any further progress ? been quiet for a few months....
  7. Folks, looking for a startup file will not help since I'm certain you will not find one. I have a pocketPC with NAV software and a similar warning pops up, but only when you launch the NAV program. So I'm sure it's part of the Nav Program itself. The F700 will work the same way. Notice that the warning only pops up when you want to navigate, at least it does on mine. What we need is a coder to dis-assemble the program, find the point the program calls that screen up and have them mod the code to think it's pressed already or bypass it. If I could program I'd do it myself but we need to fi
  8. Mine came in a sealed pioneer box as a factory refurb. I have had it for a month and it's been working great, not a mark on it either and it looked brand new to me

Ok, I had the same problem, here is how to fix this: 1. A 2GB SD card works perfect, make sure it's formatted as FAT32 2. insert your card into a reader 3. open "my computer" in windows 4. right click on your sd card and select properties 5. select the "general" tab if you are not already there 6. (I use vista) you should see a field for a name (mine was empty !) 7. type in a name like mysdcard (that's what I used) NO SPACES ! 8. All done, I was able to backup my F700's flash with no errors
