During installation the installer said "Look! I can show you how to get DVDs playing on this...." and before I could say anything he ripped off the sticker from the back of the unit.... Where can I get a replacement? I saw some on eBay but just looked and don't see any. I'm talking about the sticker that covers up the bypass switch....

whats with all the smart ass comments here... this is not for me, its for the people who come on next month, and NEXT month who are looking for a quick simple solution. people make it seem so hard to make these discs: just look at all the posts on doing it. its actually very easy.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing what you're going to come up with. I only have a single din though. it sounds like what you're trying to do is hide the whole lcd.... you're talking about a D series unit I presume?

many tints have metallic properties to them and would thus interfere with your GPS getting a signal. also, I have a little trouble with it n m shelf, byt I just moved teh unit back a few inches and voila! good signal. whatever you do, try to secure the thing with either velcro or something else if you put it on your dashboard somewhere. you *can* put it outside, but test different areas in teh car first. also, your testing will take a while. don't put it there and just expect it to automatically start grabbing satellites. leave it in one position for a day or so, and look at the sign

Just wanted to say that this works perfectly. I went to an installer for some last minute tweaks because I was stuck. He got things working and said now, let's bypass this. I was like no no! I already did! and he said, but the stickers still on. I said I know, trust me I did already. he's like no way and frickin pulls off the sticker..... and then said "sh*t! how'd you do that!?!" told him I'm not telling since I told you not to pull off the sticker. time for an ebay replacement sticker!

Yes, as a matter of fact they are all the same. I wasn't sure, but checked it out on the Pioneer site. I'm new myself, but haven't had any trouble with my unit. Bought it online from an "power" eBay seller but it came straight from pioneer. "audiosavings" or something like that was their name. No troubles so far and this board has been helpful with installation tips etc.

if you want to make a background disc all you is get a blank cdr (not dual layer, and not a dvd +/- r, just a regular old CD-R) find a file that is 100MB or more on your hard drive (NO mp3 files) find the files that you want to use for backgrounds in your burning program, create a folder named "BG" put the pics in the BG folder, put the 100MB on the disk also (NO mp3 files) and that's it. burn it. Are you able to put the mercedes logo in those backgrounds where the VW logo is? I've got an N3, and I also saw that someone else posted that they were looking for osme mercedes logos too. Those bg's are nice--- very strong 3D effect!

I know, irritating, isnt it? I don't want to go out and get an N5 or whatever just to get Bluetooth. Nowadays even the little handheld car GPS's have bluetooth capabilities. Pioneer needs to get with it. ;^)

Sure, no problem. It is a 1994 Mercedes E320 coupe. I have a factory harness that has proper connections to hook up to the N3. I just have 3 wires from the car harness not connected to the N3 harness: a black ground, the power antenna, and "amp turn on". Thanks!

Hi. My vehicle wire harness has a blue/white wire labeled "amp turn on". Mercedes E class. What would I connect this to on the N3 harness? I am not getting any sound out of the speakers, and I'm thinking it may be because this wire is not connected to anything.
