  1. I don't care about the map as we can always get newer and premium maps from "somewhere". But I would like to see if there is any good changes in the OS and Application level. Hope someone can share the WINCE files and APP dump. Cheers,
  2. The MAP+POI is about 2.1GB, what I did is to leave the MAP+POI on SD Card and also copied related language files, building files over to SDCARd, then added a line in the sys.txt file: [folders] content="\Storage Card\iGo\Content\" It works like charm. Beginning I was trying to use [folders] secondary_root="\Storage Card\iGo\" wishing the system is able to automatically use the newest version of available map/poi/building on internal storage and external SDCard, but did not work.
  3. Thanks downloaded. Much bigger compare to the earlier version of TA maps and POI. For my F500BT, I have to leave the map on external SD Card.
  4. Started a hour ago, now 20% completed.
  5. For F500BT users: If you don't need the 2009 maps from 3.1 package, there is no point to use this package, as you can get the office 3.02.02 for F500BT from pioneer directly: http://www.pioneer.fr/files/support/avic_apl_upgrade/AVIC_F500/09%20Model/AVIC_F500BT_CNSD150FM_VER_3020200.zip To install the official upgrade, just extract the zip file to the root of an empty SD Card, insert into your F500 and do a hard reboot. Upgrade will be done automatically. Of cause, you will need to load the hacked ezrider afterwards in order to use not-pioneer-provided igo maps. Good luck,
  6. In terms of navigation features, personally I feel Gurjon mod is the best . However, I noticed when using the Gurjon mod, my F500BT takes much longer time to lock GPS signal.
  7. Thanks to Miotoo. This is very good for our F500BT users. Will fully upgrade mine once I got my unit back. (my friend is using it on a long trip).
  8. I think many people were mistaken that the PLT package version 6.xxxx as WinCE version. WinCe on all the Avic-F and Avic-X series should be 5, don't know if Pioneer will have a plan to upgrade to 6 in the future.
  9. After porting the "Home" function code from the pioneer data.zip file, I kept getting error of missing . I thorougly checked all the related ui files. Can't find any missing a closing. A bit stuck at here, at tips is appreciated.
  10. I would hope a newer version to have the [Home] function fully implemented like the official one in stead of using Favorite 1. So that we can also Call Home from the phone menu. I actually have spent sometime on reviewing the ui files in both GJ_Lexa skin and the original one, I think porting the Home function in GJ_Lexa skin is feasible, but it will take some time.
  11. According to Pioneer official website, F500BT should comes with a built in MSN Direct Tuner. Actually, according Pioneer and MSNDirect, F500BT, F90BT, F900BT and X910BT come with BuiltIn MSN Direct Tuner. By reading the Service manual, http://www.4shared.com/get/102630348/ad ... 4175_.html, the TMC/MSN module is on board, only the Antenna is connected to the Craddle, which is actually optional.
  12. This is nice. However, for most F500BT users (including myself), who are currently mixing WINCE, APL from official Pioneer 2.00600 firmware with APL2 from X910bt 3.0 packe, plus the hacked Ezrider.exe. I suspect this will NOT work directly. As I previously tested, the game stopped is the MainMenu.exe, and there are also some incompatible issue in the SystemSetting.exe, and minor issue with Av.exe. By replacing those three with the 2.00600 version, the system will still work. I have not got chance to fully test everything. But for F500Bt users, if you want to try out the latest G
  13. Just wondering if it's possible to just use the Bluetooth to share the internet thru the phone network (3G/Edge). The main purpose is to make MSN Direct work, and have traffic/Weather updates, etc. I don't think we could get usable WIFI connections at lots of driving areas.
  14. I don't have the problem. You can try test it with my data.zip see if same problem exists for you. http://www.4shared.com/account/file/127 ... /data.html
  15. It would be nice if someone who purchased the Pioneer official 3.0 upgrade for F500BT, could post the APL dump. This might fix the problem of hot-swapping media containing SD Card.
  16. First make sure you have the original license file (the one comes with your device) in the license folder. To find out why it stucks, just run the ezrider.exe within TestMode. Most time, "System start up in progress" problem can be fixed very easily.
  17. I guess he must mistake the PLT version as Windows CE version. Release File : PLT Release Version : 6.2.1.9
  18. I just modified the latest GJ skin 6.9.3p800x480 to work with Lexa package, for those who are interested, please download the skin here. http://www.4shared.com/account/file/129 ... 0x480.html Assume you already have Boris' GJ package installed, you will only need to copy the 6.9.3 zip file to the skin folder and update your sys.txt to pointing to the 6.9.3 file. Credit goes to Gurjon team, Boris, and Lexa. Enjoy!
  19. No sounds usually is because of incorrect device type in sys.txt. No TTS is mostly likely because of missing the original license file. (The one came with your device)
  20. Speaking of "you destination is on the LEFT/Right side" should be done thru modification to the command.csv inside the TTS Voice file. I don't think you are using the standard TTS. Refer: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25147&p=182702 Could you post your TTS voice file on the net? Thanks, Here's the file. Samantha is the voice I've been using. The commands for arrive at destination on the left/right is near the bottom of the csv file. I highly doubt I'm the only one with it. It may have been in the pack from the upgrade cards. Thanks for the Voice file. I briefly check the c

  22. Make sure you have following setting in the sys.txt file: [rawdisplay] screen_x=800 screen_y=480 class="landscape" highres=0 dpi=250 With this setting it should looking for bmp files from ui_igo8\800_480.
  23. Put your original license (the one from your backup) and the generic world license and try again. BTW, which map are you using, TA 2009.02 or NT 2009Q1?
  24. Before you give up, I suggest you to try launching the ezrider.exe (must be the Hacked Vesion) from TestMode, make sure you have both your original license file and the world generic license file. The gurjon mod basically turned the ezrider.exe acting more like the standard Igo, if you had cleaned up your userdata, the first time you have to lanch it thru TestMode, because, Standard Igo needs a few User Setting to be done on the first time usage. However the Pioneer Shell prevent you from doing that. After you setup your language, voice etc. by running it thru TestMode, reboot, then it sho
  25. what am i missing, when it get to the system starting screen it just hang and eventually reboot.... i deleted everything in the IGO folder and replace it with the downloaded one, is it more to it? Although I didn't test the package from osmenog, but if you DELETEd the whole IGO folder, and replaced it with the downloaded one, it definately not work. 1) Missing Map, the osmenog package does not contains map/dem/poi etc. 2) Missing ScanSoft folder, which is the nounce TTS engine 3) You may also need your original license file and the generic world license file. Good luck
