i think your on to something, this would explain why my girlfrinds iphone works and mine does not. I'll leave feedback after I try. anybody else have luck with this???

I have an iphone, VR worked perfect on 2.0. updated my strereo to 3.0 and now VR is o% for my phone and perfect for my music. I noticed that v3 for the iphone is OK but iphone v3.01 is NOT.

Anybody nice enough to provide a detailed list of steps to update the hacked v3.0 to v3.01 for a F90BT. a shortcut with files for download would be greatly appreciated (if needed)????? The automatic update no longer works. overwriting the hacked v3.0 files with pioneers factory v3.01 files (using v2.3 testmode) forces the unit to freeze at bootup. I'm hoping an answer to this posting will fix my broken voice recognition system, it only recognizes music request but cannot recognize contact requests with my iPhone v3.01. Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!1

the voice recognition for all music on my iPhone works great but my F90BT cannot understand a thing when I try to say a contacts name. This worked fine with version 2.0. Anybody now if this is a result of the new hacked pioneer 3.0 version or a result of the iPhone 3.01 update? Please help!!!!! If updating my F90BT from 3.0 to 3.01 fixes the problem, please explan the process on how to update. I have downloaded the 3.01 update from pioneer but it will not work. auto updates no longer work and if I overwrite the 3.0 files with the factory 3.01 files the unit boots up frozen.

IS there any special steps to take to get 3.01 to run??????? My 3.0 on my F90 works fine but i cannot get 3.01 to work, its just ignores the SD card and boots up normal. please help...

TIPS on 3.0 Install: 1. When updating the WinCE version, do it FAST and try multiple times, it should eventually work! otherwise the screen goes black. 2. Only one sd card is needed, you can power down your stereo in between steps if needed as well. 2. torrent files requires you to download a converter, I downloaded "BitTorrent" for free and it converted the file. 3. ALWAYS MAKE a BACKUP!!!!!!!! create an empty file on your SD, copy and paste everything in "myflashdisk" onto your SD card, then proceed to overwrite with the new 3.0 files. 4. Be prepared to wait, the update

Has anybody discovered wether the brake bypass wire must be connected DIRECTLY to a chassis ground? I moved my mute wire to the 4th pin in (on the other row) of the F90 header (as detailed on 411 forum) and attached the other end to the ground lead of my truck header but I still get the warning. shouldn't the ground off my truck header be good enough? help.....

The 3.01 does not install according to the pioneer instructions. I placed the LPU folder on the sd card, inserted into stereo, powered up stereo but it justs boots up normal no - automatic update! should I start up the testmode and copy and paste? any tips? maybe i need to take the files out of the LPU folder and place them on the sd card? please help...

I can dowload the 3.0 file but the torrent file (1) brings up a bunch of jumbled text in a web browser. Should I save the text as a certain type of file format? Is there a particular file name to use either? Thanks

is the zip file attached for a mod only or is it the actual 3.0 firmaware? I opened your zip file and found the pioneer.ini so that I can change the speed setting (my hardware mod did not work). I downloaded 2.0 update as well as the test code before but could not locate this file. thought I would ask before I bother trying to install myself. any special instructions? Thanks

The mute wire is moved FROM the corner location TO THE 4th position-in on the opposite row of the SAME header, correct???? I followed the 2 pics in the instructions but get an error message when I drive too, This mod doesn't work with f90bt v2.0 software maybe. ................................please help? I'll try installing the test mode software next to see if that works, looks like you can only edit the speed settinf using winrar? after extracted the files and looked through the folders, no pi0neer ini file exists. My PC doesn't have an sd card reader either! any help...........
