  1. Did you try plugging your iphone into the other USB cable on the unit? That was the problem when I tried installing Carplay.
  2. Does anyone know how to disable the speed warnings in Carplay Maps? I know how to do this in the non-Carplay maps program but I can't figure this out with Carplay. Any assistance would be a big help.
  3. Yes I do belive it does use an IR sensor and an IR remote that I connected to the steering wheel. Hope this helps.
  4. I got the Pioneer CD-SR100 and it works pretty well for me.
  5. That's exactly what I do, just push the aux button. The only drawback is you lose audio but better that then scraping my truck while trying to park.
  6. I Had mine installed so I can park and not hit anything in front of me like concrete deviders.
  7. Does anyone know if CarPlay will play movies that are on your iPhone?
  8. Things worked great for awhile but now it is back to not automatically syncing with the Bluetooth on my iphone 5 and the 8000. It shows on both the phone and the 8000 that there is a connection but I still have to manually re-connect the device to work. Does any one know if this might be happening because I have to many things hooked up to Bluetooth?
  9. I think I might have found a solution to my Bluetooth problem, I just make sure that my iPhone is hooked up to the 8000 unit before I turn the engine in my vehicle on. I hope this is a permanent solution.
  10. I'm haveing a problem where the 8000 wont let me use the siri voice commands with out manualy going into my Iphone 5 bluetooth settings and reconnect the bluetooth connection again even though it already says it's connected. Also is there a way to give permate perrmission for a program to have access to the 8000 system for example Pandora or am I doomed to have to hit allow every time I choose use a mode on the 8000?
  11. I just got off the phone with Pioneer tech support and they confirmed this to be true. Had I known this, I would have gotten a diffrent system. I had a Avic-110bt and it had voice commands, this just seems like a step back. I want to be able to switch between modes with out taking my eyes off the road. This seems unsafe. I wonder what your thoughts are.
  12. Does anyone have a list or knows of a list of voice commands that work with the Avic-8000NEX? For example, I would like to know what the command to change from one mode to the other such as SirusXM or HDradio. Thanks for any help.
  13. Thanks. It took me a little while to figure how to change the setting but I did and I'll test it tomorrow.
  14. Does anyone know how to enable this feature? It's grayed out for me and won't let me select it. Thanks for the help.
  15. Yep that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the help.
  16. Just got the unit installed today and I can't seem to get this figured out. Also Pioneer's web site seems to be down. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
  17. I had the cable installed today and it works great. I highly recommend the cable.
  18. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=CXE2176 It looks like part is from the American parts shop. It says the part is for the AVIC-130bt. Which is what I've upgraded my avic-120bt too with the most recent upgrade. Let me know what yout thoughts are on this.
  19. No I'm not. I live in the states. Well I guess I'll find out soon if it works. Thanks for responding.
  20. So your saying that the CXE2176 Traffic Tuner will not work with my updated Avic-120bt (using the most recent update that Pioneer that was just released)? I spoke with the folks at Pioneer and this is the one they told me I would need. Does anyone know anything about the CXE 2176 Traffic Tuner?
  21. I'm having the same exact problem. Does anyone know if I can replace the MSN Direct Tuner with CXE2176 Traffic Tuner? Shouldn't be just a matter of swapping one out for the other? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
  22. Just thought I'd give my two cents on the matter. I just got my Iphone 4, and yesterday I updated my AVIC- Z110BT to the new Z120BT. My first iphone synch took seconds rather than the 15 to 20 minutes it took on my iphone 3g. So all in all a marked improvement. I hope this info helped someone make their mind up.
  23. it's the AVIC-U220_POI.zip file. Thanks for your time on this matter.
  24. NDB (file folder) CARDINFO.cif I download the files from the page that gives you your password when you upgrade to the AVIC-Z120BT.
  25. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I try to download and unzip the "AVIC-220U Points of Interest Download" I encounter a problem. The file downloads ok and I am able to unzip the file but when I try to copy the files to my 2GB SD memory card I'm unable to do so. (I have tried numerous SD memory cards ranging from 2GB to 1 GB) I keep getting numerous error messages. I am running windows 7 if that info helps. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
