  1. I tried the major fix, but cant get as far as the successful WinCE install. Mine shuts the screen off mid copy/install. Still stuck.
  2. Yes, dumb move. I still have all my DIAFTIA files, FX3.1 rar, and possibly a backup. But I don't know the step on how to resolve it if it wont boot up. PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks in Advance!
  3. Anyone have a x910bt full back up avail?
  4. I did the exact same thing to my x910bt this summer. It's been sitting in my garage ever since. Did you ever get it fixed? If so, what did you do? Please let me know.
  5. Frisco, I too performed the SUPER DUMB IDEA TO PRESS FORMATMBR move. What exactly did you do to resolve this? What's disc image 1?
  6. I've noticed that after the recent restore of my HU, that the illumination lights will continue to scan after I reboot the HU (I've save the same color in all 3 memory settings). Is there a file which is not remembering the last or memory setting that I may need to modify/replace?
  7. I figured out that it was my contacts after I performed a phone book transfer. I guess some of them had comma's in their names. I'd like to use my contacts, but not at the expense of not using the unit due to reboots. What exactly are the "illegal characters" in contacts? Email addresses? spaces? @ symbols?
  8. Not to revive an old thread, but I found out it was the illegal characters in my contacts that were causing the issue.
  9. Would someone expound on their experience? Are there any "new" features that the stock x910bt did not have? Any news would be good news to me. Thanks!
  10. Download the AVIC Feeds application for free. It has a Splash screen editor tool.
  11. AH HA! It was the "Special Characters" in my contacts names!!!!

After 2 years with the same issue, I can now take calls on my HU. Life is wonderful!

  12. Let me guess, upi enabled your BT on the phone and it "pairs" and then reboots the unit. Also, sometimes giving you a JIT windows error in the middle of your screen? Not to mention, your unit will be stuck in an infinite reboot loop until you turn off the phone's BT? Ive been there. For the past 2 years (1st unit F500BT, sold it because I thought the x910bt would not have the same issue). I was about to sell the unit on Ebay Saturday when I strolled across this post: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/29747-avic-x910-software-3010100-extras-mods/page__hl__%2Bflash+%2Bdisk Now, bef
  13. Does anyone have their original factory backup of their x910bt uploaded to the net? I boogered up and deleted my backup off of my desktop. I forgot to archive a copy to my home server as I had planned.
  14. Thanks for the heads up about the traffic mode setting. Yeha, I've been battling this BT issue with 2 different Avic's (F500BT and now x910bt). I had posted a thread in troubleshooting before, but everyone blamed my phone even though the problem occurs with ANY phone. I'm so fed up with this thing and Pioneer's useless tech support, I'm about to turn it into a wheel chock.
  15. Does it matter if some of the contacts in my telephone book have only email addresses and no phone numbers? The reason I ask, I've been battling this problem since having my fbt500 a couple of years ago with numerous types of phones (DroidX now).
  16. Anyway of getting my MSN direct back after installing the mod? I installed this mod to see if it would resolve a problem of my phone pairing (enabling BT) would automatically reboot my x910bt. No haps, still reboots after it pairs up.
  17. Does it still reboot when you PAIR your phone via BT?
  18. Does it still reboot when you PAIR your phone via BT?
  19. I got a Droid X yesterday and thought the reboot issue was history. After factory resetting the unit and wiping the personal profile on it as well, it paired and rebooted. After coming back up, it hadn't rebooted until this afternoon. I'm calling Pioneer and will not take no for an answer.....
  20. Interests: Getting my x910bt to work properly...

  21. I spoke too soon! Mind you, after getting the Droid X and pairing the device, I not only performed a factory reset, but also performed a personal profile wipe as well. After picking up food at Qdoba, I started the truck, watched the phone pairing and watched it revert back to the reboot cycle.... I give UP!
  22. "It was the dukes! It was the DUKES!!!" After getting an DroidX phone from Verizon, I must say it FINALLY WORKS WITHOUT REBOOTING! I swear, I thought Gabriel was about to blow his horn and call in for the Judgement, which would leae me no time to play around with it. LOL! However, it did reboot as soon as it paired the 1st time, but has not rebooted since then. 2 days....solid!
