  1. I usually keep my zoom at .25 and i can see MOST street names without comprimising the nav view for any route. Plus i get to see all of my 3D landmarks
  2. I get really frustrated at the fact that when i have my usb drive hooked up to play videos, when i get out the car and come back in, sometimes the unit recognizes the device and sometimes it doesnt and i have to find the damn thing in the mass of wires and cables this thing comes with, and pull it out and connect it again. Ridiculous. I also hate that when using my ipod, i have to plug the stupid little usb wire in to get it to work. Im coming from the AVIC D3 and all we needed was the ipod wire. I feel like im constantly fishing for wires and devices while im driving to switch back and f
  3. does anyone know if this will take as long as 3 hours to complete as far as installation? or have the updates gotten faster?
  4. from previous experience owning the AVIC-D3, i find that its important when going to a commercial address to not only get the address but also to get the phone number. I found with my D-3 if i could not find it as POI or by using the address, plugging in the telephone number found the location i was looking for. I cant remember if the Z110 has this option. its also easier to plug in the phone number than the address in those instances
  5. you obviously are not using the right ipod/usb cable. I thought i could cut corners when i bought this unit too but you cant, you have to buy the right cable or you wont be able to hear your ipod or use your usb device. Make the investment and go to bestbuy if you dont want to wait for china to ship you one.

Depends how you use your Avic if it's worth it... It also depends what kind of machine you're running... The faster CPU's...more memory(1x 6GB memory stick is turd compared to 6x 1GB dimms) and of course faster HDD's all play key here.... I have over 2500 tracks... and on a fairly beefy machine..it took 4-5 hours to fill up the playlist... Like I said... it's worth it if you intend to use it for what it is... If you're machine can finish it in 3 days...maybe you should consider upgrading your machine...dunno... Yeah, my computer is pretty much a sloth when it comes to RAM. It

does anybody know if this MusicSphere is even worth the 3 days its gonna take to analyze my itunes library?
  8. thanks alot man. im gonna play around with it a bit an see what works best for me. Im having trouble converting those DivX videos so im gonna see if i can get these mpeg-4's to do what i want them to do.
  9. thanks for replying VBLUE. i watched a ton of your videos on youtube before making the decision to go with this unit. Im coming from the D3 myself. been a lurker for years and just joined. I guess my next question would be, Is there any particular file format that works better than others? Or are they equally as temperamental?
  10. i noticed. it has me so baffled, why even put the effort in giving us 4 different options of audio and video input in this unit and make it such a hassle to get it to work? Ive found the only reliable thing to use to play video is the ipod. I was really wanting to be able to use the ipod for music and the card for video. But i cant get anything to work consistently.
  11. I cant seem to get videos to play from anything outside my ipod. What am i doing wrong?
  12. I love the new interface already! im a little bummed i wont be able to enjoy pandora because i dont have an Iphone. but everything looks pretty cool. im interested to see what this MusicSphere thing is about.
