  1. well My moto g works perfect on my 4100nex, but i just got my galaxy S6 edge yesterday and doesn`t work, gives me meassage on the pioneer Android auto cannot connect at this time
  2. good luck, I have the 4100nex,and I have to hit it everytime I start my truck
  3. same here I had 8000nex and the bluetooth worked fine for me, I upgraded(or down graded ) to the 4100nex for android Auto and everything seems to work great, only complaint i have is that damn Nag screen every-time I start my truck
  4. yeah I would like to know too, I just installed the 4100nex on thursday, I grounded brake wire to the radio ground like I did on my 8000nex, and I never had the nag screen unless I shut the radio off on the navigation screen, then if I had it on Sirius radio and I shut the radio off and turn it back on, it would just go to the Sirius screen without the nag screen, yeah the 4100nex ask me no matter what source i`m on always give me the nag screen.
  5. yeah I just installed my 4100nex today and everything works on android auto for me and I`m using a moto g with 5.0.1, reads texts and voice searches and everything
  6. ok guys here are some pics of the new 4100nex, I think the screen looks better than the captive screen on the 8000nex, its just as responsive as the 8000nex screen, I have moto G with android 5.0.1, and works perfect with the android auto, also I use idatalink masetro rr and before the 8000nex has issues with displaying the correct info on my secondary screen in my 2011 f150, the clock was 4 hours behind, and never had the correct info for songs on the display, and sometimes it would just freeze and the data would never change, the oem display works perfect now , the clock is correct, and give
  7. not for me, I bought so I could use the android Auto, I didn't really care for the navigation in the 8000nex, I like Google navigation better, I know the 8000nex had the captive screen, but that damn thing was dust magnet, and all I listen to is my google music or Sirius XM that's about it, one thing I think is great about the 4100nex the screen detaches. from the unit.
  8. I sold my for 630.00 it wasn`t brand new unit it was a refurbed unit, it covered the new 4100, that`s all i cared about lol
  9. well I sold my 8000nex and bought a 4100nex from amazon for 559.99 it will be here tomorrow, I like google maps better so I wanted use the android Auto feature will report back
  10. there has to be something with the device # of the unit, when I updated my 8000 with 8100 software, the device number actually changed, I think I`m just going to off my 8000nex and buy the 4100, I like the google maps better anyways then pioneers.
  11. yeah i had another issue when I updated my 8000nex to the 8100nex firmware, I use the Idatalink meastro RR on my f-150 for my steering controls, and when I updated to the 8100nex firmware, my device number changed on the 8000nex and my steering wheels would not work anymore, so I tried to reflash the module with the new device number and as 8100nex radio and there website would give me invalid serial number for my 8000 that had the 8100nex firmware, so I gave up and put the 8000 firmware back on the unit and everything worked again, I did noticed there was more features in the navigation sid
  12. I loaded the the 8100 firmware on my 8000, loaded up fine and booted up fine, i did notice the slight differences here an there, I couldn`t to get my Bluetooth work with my Lg G3, so I reloaded the 8000 firmware and it started to work again, I will reloaded the 8100 tomorrow and try again, I did notice it changed the device number and I have this in a 2011 f150 and I use the Idatalink maestroRR for my steering wheel controls and once I updated to the 8100 I lost the use of my steering controls and that could be that i need to flash the module as I have 8100 instead of the 8000, I will do more
  13. is there file to flash back to the 1.08 8000nex from the 1.03 8100nex firmware?
  14. This is awesome, I have 8000 and i will try the 8100 software and see how it works. also I have LG G3 and will see how the android auto works
  15. same here I have had 2 refurbed 8000nex and they both never had the jumping around on the map problem,I sold the first one to go to the kenwood DNN992 that was a mistake, I bought another 8000nex, I have my antenna in on the center of the dash, they both were updated with latest firmware. also I have 2011 f150 supercrew 4x4
  16. yeah I was able to update my 8000nex to the lastest maps for free which are the 2013 Q4
  17. Yeah i have 2011 F150 supercrew 4x4 ecoboost, but guys I have to eat crow on the comparison, the DNN992 is still slow as hell booting up i timed it many times and it 45-60 boot time, the pioneer blew the kenwood out of the water in start up time, the user interface on the pioneer so much better and the screen is more vivd compared to the DNN992, the DNN seemed washed out and all I do is listen to Sirius radio, from the kenwood manual it doesn`t do Album art like the Pioneer does on Sirius, so I`m sending back to the DNN992 and get a 8000nex again
  18. yeah I just sold my 8000nex and bought the Kenwood Dnn992,(will be here tomorrow)the maestro RR working with the 8000nex is kind of a joke , The kenwood is way above the 8000nex with factory integration, I can see tire pressures, boost level, coolant temp, egt and check engine trouble codes on the Kenwood, the pioneer is nothing but steering wheel controls with maestro RR.bye bye pioneer hello kenwood
  19. the latest is the 1.08, I had update to use the Maestro RR in my 2011 F150 supercrew, Mine has no problem with keeping track of me on the map, also I have the Speed input wire hooked up, I did noticed that the Navigation firmware number did change with the update of 1.08, I would try to update first.
  20. Awesome, thanks for answering my question
  21. Guys i`m torn between the 8000 nex or the kenwood dnn991hd, I had the dnn990hd before and that unit was so slow, also I`m wanting a captive touch screen, so with the App mode on the 8000 nex, so say if i`m using the Appmode for my android and running waze will I be able to still listen to Sirius satellite radio when running the app mode? I know the navigation in pioneer is ok, but the in the DNN991HD it has garmin which the 990 had, i really liked that, but looks like the Pioneer starts up faster, which I want the most, so I always listen to Sirius, that`s my main concern is do I lose Sirius
  22. Guys I`m really serious about pulling the trigger on a Appradio 3, I have 2 questions, without using a App is there a way to add siruis xm with a adapter or external Sirius unit to the headunit? Can I mirror Google navigation? I have Xperia ZL which is listed at compatible phone and use the MHL adapter, so if does mirror Google navigation headunit can I control everything on the head unit?
  23. mine is the same way I just live with it
  24. yeah I have the same problem with my 3gs, at work if I place my iphone close too my work phone you can hear the same noise in the handset
