  1. Read this thread here and you will know how to alter those scheme files: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=31648
  2. The following question is for all mods in general ... including the IDT and Abb's mods. First question: I don't know why, I was unable to control the tilt-up/tilt-down correctly. After bringing the tilt control arrows up in the screen (by clicking the map), if I press once the down arrow, no more sky but only the ground. Idem for the up arrow. The stepping is huge! Where can I control this? Second question: When I browse the map, with route or without route mode, most of the time it automatically reverts to the current position after about 10 seconds, time during which I actively brow
  3. Merci mon ami français! Merci d'avoir pensé aux Québecois(es) dans ta MOD. So I will try the Smart Zoom with your Mod and I will also try posting my questions to another active Mod thread, such that of Diaftia and Abb's, as I really want to understand how. BTW, what are the differences between the US and the CA-Fr versions? Thanks for your support!
  4. Looks like this thread is dead . If anyone is reading, where can I find a simple Windows CE setup packager to build a .CAB cabinet file with _setup.xml I want to build a .CAB file to change some registry keys everytime I boot into Testmode. I know I can find one with Microsoft's WinCE resource kit, but way too complexe to configure ... Thnaks.
  5. Bonjour MisterBlue, The following question is not only with your mod but all mods in general ... First question: I don't know why, I was unable to control the tilt-up/tilt-down correctly. After bringing the tilt control arrow up in the screen (by touching the map), if I press once the down arrow, no more sky but only the ground. Idem for the up arrow. The stepping is too big. 7. Thanks for your contribution ... another modder in this community to keep the forum alive.
  8. Hi Abb, just a couple of observations ... 1) The "About" page is still not perfect (bottom text) ... 2) The "Quick Menu": Mute and Recalculate buttons are very responsible, but not the Day/Night Scheme and the Record/Log ON/OFF buttons. The Day/Night button responds only on first press, and it displays incorrectly day/night/automatic. Record button seems to respond only once two. It is also very hard to press on the "X" key to close the quick menu.
  9. Got it, so I guess it's not fixable with any mod either then? You're right (phone not moddable)! Like I said, only the NAV part is moddable. Leetlauncher is something different to allow other custom programs to run instead of the stock softwares, but its development has been interrupted since a long time ago.
  10. Don't worry Abb, new modders will eventually pop in, just a question of time. Just don't feel that you are obligated to continue or to support anything, and know when to retire from the sceene as otherwise you can get yourselft frustrated at time. You have done something great here!!! AVIC is a great product beside its slowness and incomplete nav software, but it does open the door for modders like you, so I believe that with Forum such as AVIC411.com, new modders will come. Regards .
  11. Youppppppiiiiiiiiiiiiiii . Well, you are not alone ... 34by151 and Diaftia are with you .
  12. Please note that currently, the Audio part (iPod) of the AVIC is not "hackable". Only the navi part is for now. For the images viewer or screen saver, it would take the Leetlauncher to accomplish, which is not the intent of this nav mod, I think ...
  13. Yeah you might be just right (on the 2.0 FW), as I seem always forgot the MOD in this thread is for the portable F500 owners . EEGeek: please make sure that when posting your mod images, state that it is ONLY FOR F500. Lot of newbies don't make the difference and would end up like in Ristol's adventure. Thanks for sharing ...
  14. Good for you my friend . I am just wondering why do you want to go back to FW 2.0 . Your problem has nothing to do with the FW version.
  15. So you might have a similar problem: try run to the Testmode, rename /My Flash Disk/APL2/iGo/CONTENT/map_ta (or map_nt) to map, and you should be good to restart.
  16. The bunch of options are from the Nav Nag Message Remover that you have installed in the APL folder .
  17. Pop into the Testmode, rename /My Flash Disk/APL2/iGo/CONTENT/map_ta to map, and you should be good to restart.
  18. LOL, I am so unique, all the time . Well I drove my wife to work today and have to pass through a 2 KM tunnel at downtown, this is why ... Is is very easy to simulate the lost of GPS signal, just use the AVIC_Emulator ... With 3 SAT, you should be able to get a fix, then 2 SAT is enough to navigate ...
  19. Abb, is it normal that the Favorite button and Map Changer button are hidden when I lost the GPS signal? Are you planning to re-arrange the menu buttons in function of the GPS signal availability in your upcoming update? Thanks.
  20. So does the nag remover fix your problem or otherwise? For the half a block thing, I got it from time to time too. You don't have to have it on your screen before shut off the car, even not so, you will still get it from time to time. My guess is all depend when during the booting process you switch to reverse gear, if Windows CE is loading a big chunk of data, then AVIC just wait, another way to prove the the ARM CPU is underpower in the Pioneer. As for the stupide cool boot everytime, to prevent from draining the battery by letting it in standby, Pioneer should design the stupid th
  21. Get the nag screen remover here: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25108. Try it out to see if the remover can automatically clear the hidden navi message.
  22. I unrar the AVIC_F900 v322 nowarn.rar file and replace existing files in the APL folder without issue, everything is working fine. Latest update is: upd 15.12.2009 update for 3.020200 version, UC or EW. AVIC_F900 v322 nowarn.rar (292.66 KiB) Downloaded 704 times
