yeah that's nice, but i would never spend like $150+ for a dvd player. i dont see why you really need to control it, since all you have to do is push play and watch movie. unless you want those that can read videoclips or mpeg. But i doubt the one that pioneer sell can read those format. that's just my opinion

in summer time, i get that problem all the time. i dont have sunroof but i drive with my windows open most of the time. If i close my windows, i dont have that much problem since i have really dark tinted windows. i probably drive in the same direction as the sun. or maybe it is the way my headunit angle is.

why spend so much on a dvd player just to have the ip-bus. it is no big deal to get some other brand that comes with a remote control and a infrared eye that you can put anywhere

Those remote are great since it is easy to access from the steering wheel. The only complain i have is that the remote doesn't work when the sunlight shine into the headunit. The sensor gets blinded by the sunlight and the remote will not work.

let us know how it works out with the rca input i'm interested in buying one of those, otherwise i will go with the noname brand

why dont you use the rca input? does the GEX-P7000TV have an rca output

ahh i got confused with av-bus and ip-bus what's av-bus?? you mean the rca cable(yellow, red, white)? i'm sure there is a way to convert the rgb signal. gotta google search, or do some trial that's what i did with my s-video to rca cable. I just tried any combination of wire randomly until something shows up in the screen.

hmm i dont really understand what you're saying. You just said you can fully control it with your d1. Then you say it doesnt work because of the av-bus how did you connect it to the d1? through the rca inputs? Also, i would like to know how many channels can you get, and how clear are they in the screen? i used to have a dvd with build-in tv tuner with 1 antenna, and the channels were not watchable. yeah no fix for this. i'm lucky that it still works, but very hard to control without the knob. I almost glue it back, then i realized that I won't be able to push the button to access the equalizer menu. It's only going to move up down, left right. No push-in, so no equalizer setting. Then I will be screw big time...so no glueing for me. :lol:

just to let you know that i bought the remote. And the func button does not work with the D1 So there is no way for you to access the equilizer setting

no, because you're grounding the parking wire from the avic. Only in the avic menu will show the parking always on. Not the one from your car

i just tapped the backup wire and the vss wire and the arrow show the right direction now. it is much more precise when hooking up these 2 wires

they are selling alot of portable dvd player with 7" screen. you can use the output of those to connect to the avic. they are slim and cheap, comes with home and car cigarette charger. You can buy one for less than $100

yes the knob below the src button i can't glue it back, otherwise i cant press the button to access the function menu with the equilizer setting etc...

do you mean pioneer brand dvd player, or other brand name? because other brand name will only show the dvd player menu. exactly like if you were using your home tv.
