  1. I have been thinking about testmode in Z140 and X940 why they have [ENTER ] [sELECT] [DELETE] [ALL] [HELP]? I know it is hard work but... can someone with new device check file structure and compare it with Z130/X930 ones in search of extra files (i think they can be small in size if not empty) that can work as keyfiles. So I can imagine that serviceman enter in to testmode and delete keyfile and reboot, enter in to fully working testmode, does something and restore keyfile and next time it will be limited testmode again. As an option someone can make good quality video going through file
  2. Unfortunatelly X940BT has testmode without copy/paste functionalyty. so unswer is NO.
  3. It is look like if you not set password - user\system\security\ folder is empty... that mean we can delete password.dat file - but we need to try it first. So if someone would like to test it- copy this password.dat file and delete it from user\system\security\ then reboot. I expect it have to work fine.
  4. may be it is too late but... how to replace map...
  5. You have to check this file: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Navigation/AVIC-X930BT_InstallationManual040511.pdfUnit should be conected like in "real" car- so "parking brake wire" should be grounded.
  6. Welcome back bro!You have realy good news, my congrats to you! we all glad see you back here!
  7. It is not possible yet. Testmode has no copy/paste function. But you can try to prepare picture in AVIC feeds and check it.
  8. Does someone have globalsat bu-353 USB GPS resiever to try it in testmode with different navigation software? I got information that this usb antena should work with existing driver in units like ours. I know it is ugly way, but it can take us further. Because free GPS port is not last thing we need- we need to integrate software to work with AV part or have to have completely new shell.
  9. It looks you screwed up USER folder. So restore it from your backup, I hope you made one before anything else. One important thing you need to know- it testmode unit could not replace files. So you need delete files and then past new ones.
  10. Two thigs you need to know: 1. If you have updated unit your working directory can be USER\PRG1\Apl\LANGDATA\StringData\... instead. 2. Apl\LANGDATA\StringData\... contains few language files, you can read them using any text viewer like notepad. So if you need to modify other language- just use right file. EUGBENG.LNG is EUropean unit with Great Britan ENGlish . LaNGuage. You also can add interface language by replacing unused file that visible from your unit with one you need.
  11. USER\PRG0\Apl\LANGDATA\StringData\EUGBENG.LNG or UCUSENU.LNG text string: CAUTION: SCREEN IMAGE MAY APPEAR REVERSED (they have it 2 times in each file.)
  12. Read first post again, somewhere in the middle on the first post word PASSWORD: , right after word DOWNLOAD
  13. I am fraid that this text IS text, not image.
  14. Software can handle images up to 2592 x 1944 pixels and size should be smaller then 6mb. But Image will be resized to 800x480. So what the point to make image different than pixel-to-pixel size of 800x480.
  15. Screen Size/Aspect Ratio: 6.1"/16:9 Resolution: WVGA (800x480)
  16. That is a BAD news. 1. Try to get into test mode via buttons - Hold home and switch device On, then prev, next, prev, next, prev, next and release Home button. 2. Where did you get this testmode file from? Does it work on F30? 3. Try Testmode from F220. (wild gess%)) 4. What is under HELP option in Testmode. Can you please make new video to show file structure or just post text with it? I think main executables in USER folder. NDATA contains maps and voices.
  17. I do not know, but can give you a clue. Defore I replace map it have shown me somewhere in US. when I replace map from US to Australia it have shown me in ocean first. So I assume it has some kind of relative coordinates for map and POI and shift value somewhere.

    AVIC X930bt

Unfortunatelly it is everything I've got.
  19. No problem! Take look here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/33915-does-x940-have-testmode/page__p__246263#entry246263
  20. First check if you have logos on your device. Use testmode and check if you have folder NDATA\NDATA\AV\XMDPS, copy it contains to computer and have a look. On my X930 I have 217 BMP files with station logos there.
  21. I am willing to try Z140 software on my X930 exept EU090PLT.PRG file. So if you like - upload software somewhere.
  22. Are you 100% sure?I still have hope that it just look similar. Or at least different version. I just think any difference can give us a clue how to free GPS port... %))
  23. Thank you for this test! Testmode.key works, that good news! Can you please make software backup or at least make youtube video about internal file structure (in file maintinance mode)? Most interesting thing for me (and I am sure lots of other users) new USER folder (this is software folder and on X930BT it takes 8 minutes to copy) and what the map format is - NDATA folder (if it has one %) ) But be carefull if you going to make copy of NDATA folder- it may take a while (up to 1.5 hours) Why I ask about map format- new units have Navteq maps, but does new unit uses new Navigation
  24. Most likely you will be able to update maps by replacing NDATA folder. And I can't promise software but may be... And... : 1. Make backup of both units first, and keep copies in safe place! You need to copies of USER (software) and NDATA (maps and voices) folders. 2. Avoid replacement of EU090PLT.PRG file if you can. This file look like windows image file used for boot our units up. So if something wrong and we have difference in hardware we may end up with bricked unit. So, if you going to do such software swap, I would recomend you upload backup here so we can compare software defore
