Hi i was wondering are there some SD cards that don't work in our units and some that do or will our x series or should i say our x930bt only read some sd cards i know its got to be a Mini or Micro SD card but i have read somewhere that sometimes units won't register or reconizie some brands like PNY at times is this true also how often do new updates for our x series come out does pioneer put out new map updates yearly or is it more like every other year also how do we get them do you have to go online and buy them and load them onto a sd card and save them or do we have to just go

i am not sure but i think that wire you are talking about is the VSS vehicle speed sensor wire

yup just did it with a staple worked good

i actually could not wait any longer i went to best buy and for sure thinking they where going to say hell no lol i asked if there was anything they could do i talked to the manager told them very nicely amazon has it for 599.00 walmart has it for 649.00 and that is walmart.com Pioneer also has a 100 dollar mail in rebate but it is not good on best buy purchases she said oh really wow she left for about 20 minutes came back and said ok here is what i can do i can price match what walmart selling it for so she looked up on walmart.com and saw that it was even less then 649 she said your

I have even finished the bypass yet my hands wher sweating i could not get that damm pin loose i can feel it wiggle a little but not much it just won't come out i never moved it so im going to wait and see what i can find to pres in the other side and push the pin out and not try to pull it out but it still snug in the same spot it was when i got it just the white plastic part is broken i think i saw some on ebay the power harness on ebay for like 33 dollars so worst come to worst ill just pick a new one up but what can i use to get that pin out of there i just cant get it to come out

I tried to do the bypass tonight well atleast the first part of it i went out to best buy they price matched walmarts price of 598 for me plus i got the 4 year warranty from best buy for 59.99 so here is what happened when i was trying to pull the mute wire to move it up one slot this white plastic part broke off the harness did i mess up that entire plug now ? i plugged it into the unit and it snaps in just fine does not seem to have any problem pluggin in or unplugging and im hoping that that plastic part chunk that broke off does not afect anything els i can also snap that pla

also i just can't seem to get it out so i am thinking maybe of finding something thin enough to fit in the small holes on the harness and push the plug out going in from where it would plug into does that makes seance anyone know what is small enough to fit in there ?

did i mess up my power harness or will it still work i am able to snapp the white plastic part back on no problem but when i was trying to move the mute wire the plastic part just broke off i plugged it into the unit to make sure it fit nice and snug still and it does but did this one plastic part breaking off damge the rest of my harness ? or am i still ok ?

so your set up is to a switch and how does this work you slip the switch and it lets you use the navi for a few minuts whyll in motion but it eventualy fades back out ? im confused

will performing this bypass void the warranty on my system when i get it ?

Ok cool thanks something els im wondering not sure if i should post it in this thread or another one the mute wire that needs to be repined in another spot and the others that need to be grounded togethere do i have to do any splicing and connecting on the GMOS-06 interface that i have to get for my car to allow me to have the aftermarket unit or is it all just plug and play and the only splicing or grounding all has to do with the wires and harness that comes with the unit itself ?

I don't have my unit yet im going to be getting it in the next week i orderd from Amazon.com for jjust under 600 plus the 100 mail in rebate that i get from pioneer since i bought it from an autherized online seller for pioneer means i paid a totale of 499 for this unit yayyyyyyyyy ill have it in the next 3 or 4 business days i hope

when bypassing the unit and moving the mute wire does that affect the Muteing of the system when a phone call comes in ? or how does that affect anything ? also leaving the VSS wire plugged in does it know its moving and will the navigation options like imputing or changing destinations whyll in motion work ? i really don't care about watching a dvd when driving i just want to be able to input new destinations without having to stop for 5 minutes when im digging a nice highway cruise and all thanks

hi i was wondering does the unit automaticly dimm at nite time or when the headlamps come on or is there something special i have to do to wire it to do that or do i have to just manualy hit a button on the unit or in the settings to let it know its nite or day ?

does this bypass only work for the video play back or does it work for the control of the navigation options that get locked out when not in park also ?

the apple composit cable is this only if you want to use video play back not audio ? will it deleted the need for the pioneer cable so that i can see my play lists on the system or will i still need that for the x930bt thanks

will it show vehicle speed when you are have the park break lock out bypassed i thought someone mentioned that with the bypass they have to bypass the vss also so it does not know its moving but not sure if this is true

when using the 930bt for BT audio ipod play back can you skip ahead tracks or skip back tracks from the unit or can you only do that if its connected threw the cable ? thanks

I am going to put the x930bt in my cadillac seville 2000 with bose 8 speaker system I know i need to use a GMOS-06 to make it work with my stock speakers i notice the back of the pioneer unit has 3 female rca's but the GMOS-06 has 4 male RCA's is this impotratn do i need to be able to use all 4 on the harness so will that not work right with my system ? also is there any difrance to bypassing the lock out feature on the 930bt using the GMOS-06 or is it the same as in the Youtube videos i have sean to repin part of the harness to make it work in drive thanks

not sure if this is the right section to post this but wondering what exactly is Pandora I have a learning disability that caused me to not understand thing when i read them all the time but when someone explains to me in not so techy way then i can understand better so hoping someone can explain what is the Pandora part of the system when it says Pandora or pandora capable
