  1. it is possible, but not trivial. Same issue as i discussed here: #30
  2. Ralph, seems like you have the same kind of situation that user "jock" has. See this thread: #17 He was doing some experimentation with faking the region code on his EU unit to make it act like AU unit. But his problem was that he had EU maps in NDATA instead of AU maps. You might want to test out the same thing and see if it helps since you have "proper" NDATA for AU region. (I think you also want region code 2D)
  3. No. you will just need to reapply the mod to the new version after updating. In my thread for removing nag screen, I have info about the navi.exe with this version (4.010)
  4. Ahh, so if you have US unit - the CARDINFO.CIF is for AU units. So just for your special case, i think you can open CARDINFO.CIF in text editor. Find string X72AUS and change to X72UNC Try that. reference: #7 also, once you share for others to make the update with older units (F10 or F20), they can modify the CARDINFO.CIF as follows: search and replace exactly this text: 2X9D7LS4DQRH with: X07AUSX30AUS
  5. as always - disconnect battery and accessory power to the unit (may be able to do this by pulling radio fuse), and doing a full reset on the unit (documented in owners manual). If you dont see bt fw version, then something might be wrong with the bt module. But then again, a full power-off reset should fix it, if it is a software problem. If it's a bad BT hardware, then it's off to service.
  6. bnwgraaf, what I have heard is that appmode/bluetooth for android only works for aha/pandora apps. The actual "advanced appmode" is only for iphone, and only AppRadio2 (SPH-DA100?) supports android "advanced appmode" It is on the pioneer website. I found their exact support matrix somwhere, and posted it on another thread about this (but cant find it now).
  7. Ralpharn, it's the same verinfo.dat that I posted a special version for here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/ You should be able to just replace the one on the sd card with the one from that thread, and you are good to go.
  8. I know - all of their marketing makes it look as if they have Retina screens on them
  9. find the service manual (there are links here - also can search elektrotanya.com) on how to remove and disassemble from panel. If you are not comfortable with disassembling electronic components (including ribbon cables, etc, then you might want to take it to a specialist. You should be able to separate the touch panel overlay from the lcd panel and clean it with a soft clean, lint-free cloth
  10. No. That is the CNSD-310FM/EU update. They are just marketing it as something slightly different (2012 update). It is "supereasy" to upgrade. Yes. It's discussed frequently in the US version of F-series forums (X and Z).
  11. i only saw pandora/aha icons on the left icon bar (along w/ ipod icon) when I have iphone plugged in. Dont have android so not sure on that one.
  12. Interesting. I wonder if others are seeing this as well. Under the hood, the encrypted VERINFO.DAT contains the version and a few other fields, one of them is "DiscType" which is perhaps the criticality or importance of the update. All of the regular updates use "NORMAL" disctype, but I made the "special" VERINFO.DAT of "URGENT" disctype. This seems to allow install without password . Perhaps the side effect is that it keeps wanting to update over and over? or maybe something else. Would like to hear if this is happening to others using this special VERINFO.DAT. WRT to pandora and android,
  13. well, if you can obtain a complete dump of NDATA (or better yet - a DiskRW image dump of NDATA [NAND2]) from an AU f40 or f940, then im sure we could make our own using existing 4.01 update The actual update would be easiest, by far.
  14. here is special VERINFO.DAT that can be used with CNSD-210FM (2011) update. No hacks, dlls, mods, etc required. Just replace SD\Update\VERINFO.DAT with this one, then insert card in unit. It will not ask for password. please test it out and let me know if it works ok. If it does, hopefully first post can be updated.. Also if somebody can find and post EU CNSD-310FM, then the special VERINFO.DAT on my CNSD-310FM/UC post will work fine for that one too.
  15. yes - your "application version" is 4.010 - the latest.
  16. No the VERINFO.DAT i posted on this thread is only for CNSD-310FM/UC. If you can send me the VERINFO.DAT from cnsd-210fm EU, I can generate a version of it that does not require password, and will post it on the cnsd-210fm EU thread.
  17. can you be more specific? what do you mean by new ui? please go to settings, service info, and hold very top left corner down. Report all of the versions here. Please do NOT post your device number.
  18. FYI all, autoreplacer no longer needed. I can generate VERINFO.DAT that does not require password. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/
  19. oldstyle - yes that is the screen that i got rid of. for windows: HxD is a good hexeditor
  20. http://avic411.com/i...ed/#entry257354 you may need to adjust the instructions to match your current software version also, if you are getting password startup prompt, you need to recover or delete the password: boot into testmode remove or view: USER\SYSTEM\SECURITY\PASSWORD.DAT (not exactly sure of the name - i think this is it)

    CNSD 300FM

Foxterrier - you can probably reapply some of the mods to that fw version to get the adjustments back. Also, if you just want to adjust the speedcam alert distance this can probably be done by hand editing the sys.txt: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27516-changing-the-warning-distance-for-speedcams/#entry203657 You can post the CNSD-300FM rar of the sd cards. We dont need any device, media, or other serial numbers. Just the full contents of the SD cards. You would be a hero to many folks here.
  22. 1. This is a US/Canada unit, it has US FM radio tunings. I dont know what indonesia FM band is like, but probably need EU model (like F930BT) 2. this model has proprietary maps. Does pioneer sell F930BT or similar there? If Pioneer does not sell F930, F920, F30, F20, F10, there then you will not be able to get maps for that region. You can probably get F910BT. This has EU tuning settings for FM, and you can load unlocked software on the unit and run Igo 8.3 maps (which are available for most country/regions).
