1. The only thing like that I've found with my 940 is that sometimes for a little while the navi will show that I'm 50 yards off the street. I think this is an issue about acquiring satellites. In a few moments, it goes back to where it's supposed to be. I'd read some disparaging comments about the 930 and was worried about the 940 but I've been really happy with mine. I was used to Garmin so it took me a little while to adjust. It is not as chatty as the Garmin's I've had, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. One small complaint is that when I arrive at my destination, it doesn't say which si
2. A reviewer on Amazon said it worked well on his X930BT so I would assume that it would work on a 940. For $18.35 + shipping, it might be worth the experiment. Let us know how it works if you try it. http://www.amazon.com/PAC-WRI-P-Wireless-Control-Adaptor/dp/B0035UV0RE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339969605&sr=8-1&keywords=WRI-P
3. And I don't mind telling you again how much I appreciate it! Of course, if you come with any other Mercedes Benz logo screens I'm interested!
4. I don't get album art from the SD card even though realplayer shows it on my computer from the same mp3 files. I didn't see in the owner's manual that I should see it so maybe that's normal. Any info on that? In any case, it is a very small deal. I'm not sure I need to be distracted by album covers changing on my screen while I'm driving.
5. I don't want to speak for makaveli2g but he did some nice ones for me. see post 329.

Backup camera

I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049LBJ56/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i02. A guy at the Mercedes dealership said the angle of view was better than the cameras that come on Mercedes cars. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is a license plate camera but that also makes it much less expensive. When I was looking for a camera, it seemed that the ones that were well reviewed were either very inexpensive or really expensive. So far, this one has worked really well for me.
7. My wife has had a similar experience with her Garmin GPS. It may be something about all GPS units to some degree. If you have some idea of the best route, could you chose some way points to "force" a better route? I'm amazed that they can give directions at all!
8. Usually, downloaded music is in mp3 format which the X940BT plays (all of mine tunes are in mp3 because they are smaller than the audio files and I don't think I could tell the difference in a car. I don't have itunes (or an iPod) so I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it will play those just as easily. You might get better sound from the iPod, though as I say, I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference in a car - but maybe you can... You can increase the sampling when you rip or maybe even when you download an mp3 to improve the sound quality. I understand that when using your iPo
9. Yes. If you shut off the car while listening to a song on the MicroSD card, it will pick it up where it left off when you turn it on again. Also, in case you were wondering, songs are played in order of their date-time stamp. This isn't a problem if you rip them from CDs since Real Player and Windows Media Player deal with them in the order they are found on the disk. I haven't tried a playlist, but I assume a similar situation exists.
10. makaveli2g made me some very nice MB splash screens for me here: http://avic411.com/i.../page__st__1200
11. Very Nice!!! Thanks!! I'll try them.
12.
Hi guys. I created this background splash screen for my Mitsubishi Outlander that has a Z140BH installed. The colours complement the red and orange lighting in the vehicle. Let me know what you think:
Looks great! Now, if you could do something cool with a Mercedes Benz logo!
13. Those are really nice. Wish I had a Subaru so I could use one!
14. I'm not an installer so I could be missing something but I would be surprised that you'd have to do anything else besides replacing the head unit. From what I understand, the difference between the x930bt and the x940bt is software and I would expect that would go for the x920bt. The bypass is the same on all X series and ASWC shouldn't change.
15. Please thank your son for his service to our country for me!
16. There doesn't seem to be. Doing a search for the word "scan" in the Operation Manual only found where it tells you how to do the seek function for radio channels.

SD Cards

My PNY 32GB card works fine in my X940BT. My 32GB Sandisk card did not.
18. I appreciate your post, blob. It's just not my style (also, I'm not sure it would fit on my X940BT). I'm on the lookout for a colorful Mercedes Benz logo. Thanks!
19. Here's what the owner's manual says about the size of splash screens: "Splash screen images should be used with the following formats: BMP or JPEG Allowable horizontal and vertical size are 2 592 x 1 944 pixels or smaller Allowable data size is 6MB or smaller" I have no idea what is meant by "2 592 x 1 944" Anybody have any ideas?
20. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Anybody else having this issue?
21. Over a hundred views and nobody has any ideas or theories???
