  1. Do you still have the appradio app installed? If so, just uninstall it. It has been known to cause conflicts with ARLiberator. Audio and video come through the hdmi port while bluetooth is for touch events and handsfree calling. The pairing issue still continues, but the dev is working on it. Appradio needs to download your google contacts list every time it starts up, which is a royal pain. I think this will be resolved soon since this is the next priority item for the dev. texbuck
  2. I feel ARLiberator makes the appradio transparent and allows you to use the radio just like it was your phone. No, I'm not paid to be writing this. The dev for this app has put in countless hours to make everything work. Your radio will be what it should have been from the beginning. texbuck
  3. There was a discussion of this on appradioforums.com. The consensus was that you still need the bypass switch since the switch is for the hardware, not the software. texbuck
  4. The app is at the play store now. It's called Screen Standby and works great on my Droid Razr Maxx's amoled screen. It switches the screen voltage to 0. When I connect to the appradio, my screen goes black. When I turn off the radio, my screen comes back to life. It's great. texbuck
  5. The touch events of the app radio are controlled by bluetooth, so you need to have a stick with bluetooth. I've been looking at the FX1 Cotton Candy stick, but at nearly $200, I am waiting until a cheap imitation comes out. I think it would be nice just to have phone for hands free and data and the hdmi stick for everything else. texbuck
  6. My bad, I removed an Ego Look bluetooth kit from my truck before I installed the appradio and it was the one with the 2.5mm mic. Sorry about that. texbuck
  7. Crutchfield says it does not work with the appradio 2, so yeah, you need the IR receiver like Iciummo wrote. texbuck
  8. It's in the same link that you quoted. It's working on amoled phones, but some of them are having issues with turning the display back on. I think that issue is resolved as well texbuck
  9. I'm sorry I didn't pay closer attention when I installed mine, but I really think it's a 2.5mm. It just appeared smaller than a convention headphone jack if memory serves. texbuck
  10. There's a couple of threads on this topic at appradioforums.com. The app named tasker can be your friend. Either I have no memory left or my method of pairing changes each time, but I have the best luck connecting the phone (both hdmi and usb) first, then starting ARL, then starting the vehicle. texbuck
  11. Your idea will work just fine. In my case, I tapped into the middle wire of my trailer plug on my truck, which is the backup lights. You will need to tap into an accessory wire because you certainly don't want to be powering two cameras while the vehicle is turned off. The appradio uses the reverse wire to trigger the video input, but there is a little camera icon in the upper right of the screen where you can switch to that input at will. texbuck
