  1. my grammer is terriable miss spelling and what not ... besides im not the one thats getting daily emails lol
  2. maybe we should put a stickey thead on a section where everyone reads most and title it z1 or z2 which is best / diffrense bypassed something along those lines and do a simple explonation that z1 is the only current method of bypassing a z2 by doing an image which really is like if you were to buy a z1 while z2 may offer this or that etc etc... either way im glad i bought it at costco otherwise i woudlnt of buy a high expensive product
  3. Not necessarily. Buy a new hard drive and load the Z1 software on it and install it into the Z2 and leave the Z2 drive alone. If there is a problem stick the old drive back in, no one is any wiser. Or you can make a backup of the software on your PC and reload it if you want to. This can be done to leave no trace if you were anal enough about the procedure you took for this. And the Z2 probably is a "better unit" it's just not an easily bypassable unit. lol i thought to acess the drive you had to remove a voild sticker thats why i was wondering...... now besides the disadvantage i
  4. its still pointless if you have a z2 and downgrade to a z1 for the bypass then you might as well just buy the z1 insted of z2 thats my point of view
  5. ok i get it so that way your d/l songs that are mp3 can be burned into the hd w/out using your original cds i see
  6. so basicly its just to have peace of mind of not scratching it with your nails or anything? and applying of course its removeable and re useable due to the air tight bubles that can occur .... ?>
  7. i have an n3 and i never thought about putting a clear plastic , i thought z2 came with screen protectors like gameboy or psp lol.... plus i dont want to reduce sensivity or lighing being affected...
  8. hey guys well i bought my avic-z2 havnt opened it and i was wondering if i should get those covers for my screen? doesnt it come with plastics already when you open it upon arrival?
  9. this would ovbiously voild warranty? i bought it at costco due to the warranty purpose, god lol i thought z2 was a better unit so thats why i bought it
  10. you mean edit the mp3 cd to be a audio cd? im confused help ? No. You edit the MP3s so when the CD-Audio is burned, the information will be available. You can't actually rip MP3s into the hard drive.
  11. damn i guess we still stock with temporarly bypass c'mon pioneer reps just send a email with a friends email receipent ;p;
  12. i didnt fellow you on the last sentence someting about paying the z1
  13. so has anyone tried soliding some pins?
  14. ok then if change hdd is the same thing as software wise then its pointless to buy a z2 because a z1 is cheaper And you can bypass it . then again i guess the purpose of this is for those who cant buy z1? or why would they do this?
  15. so if we do this hdd thing can the z2 be bypassed?
  16. so increasing the size will give you more space to only put music? and you mentioned z1 , isnt this for z2?
  17. yes im aware of that but i wanted to know what happens if you get a z1 hdd on z2 ? because if its just a matter of all os options being new on z2 then why the heck would you spent 2gs and just put back a old outdated drive? but then again if you loose no interations of the z2 new features then puttin z1 hdd can benefit due to the bypass.
  18. no maybe not in counted for as a contracted installer but talking outside (where no edivince) shall be heard or seen im sure they willing to take a bribe for their usefulness (made up word?)
  19. ok so he/she increased the size but is it useable? say does the z2 reconise it and let you burn more music into it after 30 gb?
  20. but if you do this then whats the point in having the z2? i mean the way i see this (correct me if im wrong) is that you pay for z2 and you get new stuff on the hard drive which is oviulsy diffrent but if you put z1 info date or such thing related to z1 then whats the point of buying the z2? just for comesticly hardware? or am i missing something here? That is pretty much correct. The only thing you can possibly do it take your hard drive and downgrade it to Avic Z1 software and then bypass your Z2 like a Z1. But nothing for the Z2 yet, no.
  21. but if you just swap hard drives then whats the point of buying a new 2000 unit? if all your doing is just buying the comestic thing the actual programming will be the same as the old z1 woudlnt it?
  22. sorry guys didnt read 17 pages but has anyone tried to paste the backup image to a new drive then try the drive on the navi? is the hdd content protected?
  23. coudl be a fraud but if someone has the guts to tamper with the pins assemble it back and exchange it if unit goes bad? i know i wouldnt but then again its just a thought for those who willing to take the risk
  24. ok so first we gotta ground the unit? then what you mean by loop? and what switch? sorry costco shipped my order but i still havnt have my z2 in hands to see it. man removing/re installing it on my 06 is going to be a pain , costco has contracts with installer card so they install it , i wonder if they have a bypass (connections with pioneer) i hope crossing fingers... but again back to my question loop? fliping switch?
  25. i think a disclamer would work however no updated software would be require, so that they (pioneer) dont invest money in updated software. i think navi it self is distraction enough to cause a crash, but along some of those lines we could put a disclamer that pioneer should not in any way held responsible for an accident due to tampering with their " z2" to enable video/motion and any such lockout and customer is/should be responsible enough to use proper judgement , if customers disagree to these terms they MUST return product, if product has not been returned customer is automatically held
