Ron Burgundy
What would be the outcome to just ground the green parking brake wire? Would you at least be able to view video at stop lights, ect...?
brachoza
not without flipping the switch on the bottom of the radio, under the little silver sticker. and voiding your warranty. but everyones doing it.
Creef412
yea, it's the cool thing to do. unless you like your warranty... Creef412

executioner
not without flipping the switch on the bottom of the radio, under the little silver sticker. and voiding your warranty. but everyones doing it.
I have 2 :?: 1. Does the n3 have a switch in the spot that the n2 has to be soldiered? If so, aint that a beeeoch for us n2 owners. 2. Is there any where in the manuals or on the radio that says "lifting, peeling, removing this silver sticker will void the warranty? If Pioneer does not tell you not to do this how can it void the warranty if you dont do anything under the sticker? :?
Ron Burgundy
Yea, there's just a switch, but there's the words void underneath the sticker. Pioneer doesn't mention ANYWHERE in any manual about it, but I e-mailed them about it and they said in fact removing that sticker will void the warranty.
lehe
You guys are missing something here... If you use a blow dryer on HOT and patients, you can peel back the sticker without leaving the VOID behind and flip the switch or soldier the two points and lay the sticker back down as if nothing ever happened. I did it on my N2. Use a razor blade to get under the corner and a set of tweesers to SLOWLY peel back while giving the sticker tons of hot air.
Ron Burgundy
How do you take the unit out of the dash?!?
Ron Burgundy
Never mind, I got it! Flipped the switch, grounded the light green wire, and BOOM! In motion video!
executioner
 Damn you n3 owners and your switches :P
Dubbedown
 Damn you n3 owners and your switches :P
why damn the n3 owners? n1 and n2 owners can all benefit (even though who upgraded to newest software).
executioner
I am joking  I am talking about the fact that all they have to do is flip a switch while the n2 owners have to do the evil solder.

slarue4
I did the bypass and everything seemed to work fine, the only thing is when the car reaches 5 mph, the bypass doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions?
