rharms77
So why would the 3.5mm plug I got from walmart work, but not the same 3.5mm plug I had to buy from a small electronics shop not work. Are the configurations on the plug ends different from each other? If so, then I understand. I had no concern over video or anything, I just wanted to play music. Thanks for all the replies! Thanks for all the replies!Because items sold at Wal-Mart are higher quality? (no that couldn't be it ) I guess the one you got from the electronics store was defective in some way. Sometimes a difference as apparently insignificant as how pointed the tip is can cause a plug not to make proper contact in the jack. And then the same plug might work fine in a different device. A few years ago I had a satellite radio connected to a cassette adapter in two different vehicles. With one, everything worked fine but with the other I lost the left channel audio until I swapped adapters.
rharms77
Haha, ok maybe its just a defective cable. I guess its off to high quality walmart to get another one!
BuffaloSS
I've got a pair of cables that won't work either. One is a relatively expensive RadioShack cable with gold plated plugs, and the other is some generic male/male. Neither one works. Stupid pioneer!
